Cala Ponte, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

The property has the look of a 5 Star Marrot property and the feel of an overpriced dump. We stayed 6 nights, it was terrible, every night the hot water would go cold, we walked over the same crumbs and muddy foot prints in our room the entire stay. We continually had to call for toilet paper, the cleaning staff would forget to replace it. We called the restaurant the "Prison kitchen" the staff was mean and will actually yell at customers in the dinning area. Overpriced Mediocre food and slow, they just don't care. The grounds have not been groomed, cut nor trimmed in months, looks disheveled. Not worth the money

The hotel had just reopened following a complete renovation. We received a complimentary upgrade on check-in which was a nice surprise. Everything about the hotel was special….our room with its own terrace, restaurant, bar/outdoor terrace. The pool area was beautiful! The decor throughout the hotel was stunning. First-class customer service throughout the hotel. The management and staff were so lovely, knowledgeable, attentive and just made you feel so welcome. It would be impossible to name them all! During our 6 night stay we ate several times in the restaurant all of which we really enjoyed. We enjoyed also our drinks at the bar, terrace and pool during our stay,. The hotel is walking distance or a short tuk tuk ride from Polignano a Mare. We also found it easy to visit the wider Puglia area from there by train. As we had an evening flight they kindly gave us a late check out which we really appreciated as it gave us extra time to enjoy the pool and other facilities. An unforgettable stay in a truly special hote!. We look forward to returning to Hotel Calaponte next year and would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for one night only but would definitely go back!! The hotel is beautiful, absolutely pristine!! The pool is magnificent!! The staff can’t do enough for you, and they make a mean Aperol Spritz!! Not much around the hotel but it’s just a short taxi ride to Polignano where it’s typical Italian 🇮🇹 We would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
