Kn Aparthotel Columbus

When checking out 3* TUI package holidays for November through to February on the ***** from Costa Adeje to Los Cristianos the KN Columbus was frequently the cheapest. At first sight the Google / Tripadvisor review scores for this hotel looked low but on closer examination the major issues appeared to be the poor food and inclusive drinks, poor entertainment and noise. As I never eat the bulk food produced in hotel restaurants, don't participate in the amateurish entertainment which they offer and fully expect all hotels in this area to be quite noisy the Columbus seemed OK to me so I booked for 10 days self catering for £720 (Flights, Transfers and Sole Occupancy Studio). I made a request to reception in advance for a sunny room and that is what I got. The studio looked newly decorated and had all the facilities I would hope for: ＞  Bathroom had a good walk in shower with strong water pressure and high heat, sink and shower soaps, hair dryer; ＞ Lounge (which had decent WiFi signal) had good aircon, 2 single beds, small desk with chair, TV with most of the UK channels, lots of well placed power points, large wardrobe and a full length mirror for the ladies. ＞ Kitchen has 2 ceramic rings, microwave / grill, kettle, toaster and small fridge with freezer box. ＞ Balcony with sun all day and decent views with good sturdy table and chairs. The 4 pools were good (especially the spa pool) and there are also additional sun terraces spread around the complex, there were plenty of loungers available all day. Cleaning was OK provided you leave the "please clean me" sign on the door, towels replaced when left on floor and bedding changed twice in 10 days. The ladies on reception were very friendly and helpful, on departure day there is a secure luggage store with toilet / shower / changing facilities next to it. BUT - Just a few niggles to report:- ＞ Bathroom had no storage areas or shelves? ＞ No drawer space in lounge apart from 1 large one in wardrobe? ＞ No cupboard space in kitchen area for groceries etc? ＞ As stated room was well decorated and in good condition but they had kept the old rusted fridge which had no door shelves and the latch for the freezer box was broken? SUMMARY - I had a great holiday and it was fantastic value for money so much so that I have booked 2 further 10 stays for £780 [December 24] and £810 [next December]||

I’m here right now and have been robbed of €140 from my room which was under my laptop spoke to receptionist he had a disgusting attitude like he dident give two monkeys about it and he said there is nothing they can do well I will never stay here again what a joke this hotel is
