Ok so we stayed as a family for 14 days. This gave us a good amount of time to take in the hotel. Pros: 1/ Rooms are large and good for a smaller family of 4. 2/ Rooms are cleaned daily and to a good standard. They have a great policy of towel ls on floor they are changed, hung up there not. Beds are changed on request buy placing a card in thr beds. Simple. 3/ pool is great. Large and well looked after. We didn't have issues getting sun beds and was nice to have a main pool and adult only. 4/ most the staff are friendly bar one or two. 5/ we had a small issue with our room and it was fixed in like half hour. Amazing. 6/ pool towels are 10 euro deposit but you get back at the end and you can change when you want. 7/ if all inclusive everything is free including brand drinks up till 12 at night. Great way to save money as it included bottled water and softdrinks. Grey goose and Johnny Walker Black. 8/ wrist bands great act as everything for you. Room key the works. Placed in wrist first day and don't worry about forgetting your key. Now for the negative: 1/ floors especially on stairs can be very slippy and wife took a tumble. Lucky no damage but with no handrails nothing to grab and secure yourself. 2/ some staff were just outright rude. They also tried to change rules to suit them like saying we were not allowed the named spirits and so on. The nice staff told them straight they were wrong. 3/ entertainment was hit and miss. Don't miss the rock party but some of the others made you want to be deaf. 4/ This main reason it only gets 3. Food. Sorry but it was bad. Don't bother lf your vegetarian or vegan. The options were slim to non. Most the options all maybe 2 were sloppy rubbish you wouldn't want to eat. While the fresh cooked meat on the griddle is a great idea, staff were overwhelmed couldn't keep up, either making for massive delays in eating or you just gave up. I was also served pork which with a good shock would have got up and walked off. Soup, I think the chef likes salt. Really note sure what themes they had with food but was either very similar most days or there was so much fish I thought I was in an aquarium. We checked each night and had to go out most the time. We really tried but honestly forget it. Breakfast was good with standard options and fresh omelette was lovely. So would I stay here again, im sorry but would have to say no. It's a shame as we did a lot of searching before booking.

Excellent hotel, we will definitely return. From start to finish we really enjoyed this hotel. A few pointers we liked - amazing staff, very very clean and all entertainment planned well. Family of 3 including a two year old, all inclusive stay as worked out cheaper than half board however only used the restaurant for breakfast which I would give a good 8/10 something for everyone. Lunch we didn’t use it but had a look one day and there was good enough selection, we did use the pool bar which was top for what it was. Again never used the restaurant for dinner so can’t comment on it. No problems getting 2 sun lounges any day and was never up before half 9. Cleaners in every day. Shower hose broke on second night and was fixed before we got back to the room. Never had any bother with rude staff thought everyone was very friendly and helpful. Wee girl loved the kids disco, great facilities for them massive playpark area and the slides in the pool are a treat would be very had to stay anywhere that doesn’t have them again. Courtesy room available for departure has to be booked from 8am the morning off but got a slot no problem around 10am.

Bitten by bedbugs. Woke up each morning with more bites!! On my legs, back, neck, ear, hands ankles!! Initially thought they were mosquito bites until I was bitten by a mosquito and was able to differentiate the bites! Reported to reception when we were leaving who didn’t seem to care. Disappointing as we have stayed here a twice previously and never had an issue. Definitely a drop in standards this year.

Currently on our last day and we've had an amazing week. The hotel itself is really nice and clean, the room for family of 4 was a good size and the pool area was fine. Staying on all inclusive so the drink is probably the best part about it in terms of being able to get a bottle of wine with dinner or at night any branded spirit etc all available. The queues can get lengthy if you dont get the table service and the pool bar queues are big as well. Don't understand why theres not a self service available for drinks especially in the restaurant (available only at lunch) The hotel is let down by it's food however it very rarely changes and it's all too samey. One night almost every dish was fish in some way with a baked tuna as the main meat selection. Yes the steak, lamb chops, chicken are available but it was for too repetitive. The chef wilted under the pressure due to the queues as well which led to undercooked meat but I was put off with the cross contamination while watching it being made anyway. The pool bar is good but not being able to edit your choice like asking for a plain burger or say just a ham toastie instead of ham and cheese is a bit frustrating. The selection for kids is non existent as well in the main buffet so if you have a fussy eater then its going to be a struggle for you. Other than the food we would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here at the bitacora from 26/08 to the 05/09 First look of the hotel when you walked through was lovely, clean, spacious. And smelt amazing check in took around 10 minutes. Omar - so friendly, brilliant with kids and always had a smile on his face. Helped with our luggage to our rooms and greeted us kindly on arrival. The room - we was gobsmacked to how small this was, for a family of 4 including a baby, there was no facility to wash out his bottles safely, no kettle provided for his milk which we then had to ask for one. fridge worked when it wanted too and not enough wardrobe space for the 4 of us. We lived out of a suitcase aswell as using the wardrobe. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis but not to standard we have experienced elsewhere in Tenerife. Bed sheets weren’t change daily which overall didn’t bother us but after the third day we then realised you are to leave the note left on the side on-top of your bed to indicate you want them changing. The floors were left on numerous occasions and with a crawling baby this was unsanitary for us. Beds were comfy but definitely need to provide more pillows. We were provided with our safe card, but it didn’t work. Went to reception to change the card. And again didn’t work. So just left it. The pool area is lovely and clean, it states on jet 2 that all pools are fresh water, this is not the case. The main pool is salt. Slide pool is also salt, The baby pool is fresh and is lovely, clean and spacious however found older kids in there with big floats which made it unsafe for the little ones. Be cautious of the slide measurements as it is 1.2 and they are strict to whom is allowed on. After reading previous reviews we initially thought we’d get away with a child just 2 marks under measurements but still wasn’t allowed on, not even with a parent. The life guards are rude and if you did not speak Spanish then I wouldn’t bother communicating with them. They just ignore you! The bed wars was just something else during the first week of our holiday. People queuing from 7am to secure a sunbed to which you had to stay on until past 9am or your belongings were removed. If you’re not present you issued with a paper slip with a warning on and if you have not returned and the last remains on your belongings they swipe them! You couldn’t secure your bed and go for breakfast. After the first couple of days we played it by hearsay and on the odd occasion not enough sunbeds were available so we left the hotel. As the school holidays came to end more became available and we was able to get one after 9am but no later then 10. No warnings were issued during the second week so I’m presuming they hand out the warnings slips at peak periods. Be very mindful on how slippery the floors are and they do become very hot especially on the outside of the main pool. The top 2 pools are adults only. This area had plenty of sunbeds to be used but no children aloud. Entertainment round the pool was brilliant, ninj

Stayed at the hotel bitacora first week of September. Really nice looking hotel. Lovely pool area & great for children. My daughter had lots of fun on the slides. Dinner was lovely lots of things to choose from. Breakfast wasn’t up to much. Lots of queuing for eggs and omelettes which isn’t ideal if you get down for breakfast at say 9.45 as they start to take things away at 10am when breakfast closes. Staff in dining room and at pool bar and evening bar I’d say at least 90% of them are miserable. Either over worked or just don’t like there job. Lots of queuing for drinks at pool bar and at indoor evening bar. I assume they do this to slow down the service so you dont drink too much. On the upside you get international branded drinks. We was told one evening when we scanned our wristband only one drink per person. Again to limit you on drinks. So again more queuing. On our last day we had a voucher to get lunch in the buffet restaurant. All the cutlery and plates were filthy. First time we had experienced this all holiday. We arrived late around 10pm on our first night and on our last day we were only leaving at 5.30pm. When we checked out at 12pm our all inclusive wrist banned was stopped. Surely if you book 7 nights you should get 7 nights of all inclusive food and drinks. As on our first night we had to go out to a supermarket to get some food and water, would I stay here again? Only if they made changes to the queuing system and staff were more friendly. and if you actually got the 7 days all inclusive that we had paid for.

This review is in response to the hotels reply to Tracey T What you have replied with is not true, hence the one star review, we paid for 6 days at the up via your web link then when we arrived at the hotel we added the last day at 35 euros per person. When we spoke to reception on the last day Jose told us that someone forgot to tick a box to say that we had paid for the later check out! Which was totally wasted as we spent all morning dealing with the unhelpful reception staff. Once this hotel has your money, they are not interested
