Gran Oasis Resort

It is a nice resort for a young family. Please note it is quite away from Playa de america beach and on a steep hill. We had our room at the top of the hill, almost felt like going up 4 floors to get to the room. Limited vegetarian options in hot food. This is quite common with any other resort in Canary Islands. So be ready to compromise on it. We got 4 single beds. If you are a couple who need a double bed, this could be a problem 😉. Parking is €5 per day although hotel is far away from beaches. This is something they should provide free. No option outside to park due to steep hill. We requested to move our room lower as my wife has asthma but not much of luck.

Loved every minute of our family holiday. Beautiful resort. Carlos + team made our holiday extra special. Little Fiji will be back next year. Thank you for creating special memories with us. So me and my friend have stayed here for the past 2 years and we cannot fault the hotel at all! The food is lovely! The drinks are nice! The rooms are always kept clean! The hotel is amazing aswell as the staff! We will defiantly be coming back! The entertainment team are amazing and always get people up and involved within the day and the night! This is a hotel I would definitely recommend people to stay at!

We recently returned from the gran oasis. Tripadvisor rating is accurate. Beautifully landscaped, friendly staff, excellent service and lovely room. Immaculately clean and food good and varied Two small points which are only meant as constructive feedback - nowhere to get an early morning coffee until restaurant opens or pool bar opens at 9 am. Also it would be great to have toilets near evening entertainment/lunchtime buffet rather than having walk back to main hotel.

We went for a week at the very end of August and loved every minute! The resort itself is so beautiful, clean and well maintained. There are staff everywhere. We were all inclusive and were so impressed with the range and cooking of the food on offer. The selection at lunchtime was equally as impressive as the dinner menus. The themed nights were a nice touch and we liked the fact that the waiting staff sometimes joined in with additions to their uniforms. The White Party was amazing and such fun! It's the little touches too that are appreciated, like coming round the pool with melon or drinks to try. I used the spa and found that excellent too. The location is fine if you want to stay on site, chill out, and relax. We walked to Los Cristianos one day and Las Americas another (about 30 minutes). Then we took a taxi back up the hill. Very much hope to return one day!

10 day stay with kids (13,8) . Chosen as normally prefer smaller hotels , wanted A/I and reviews quite good ! Positives: Clean Rooms very nice, spacious , well equipped, beds comfy , cleaners very accommodating For an A/I the food is pretty decent ( and I’m picky ) . Breakfast and lunch better than dinner Kids in element , all day access to soft drinks , chips , crisps , fruit , ice cream , burgers , sandwiches etc Alcoholic beverages abs fine Staff in restaurants nice Shop on site right next to the pool , well stocked and convenient Didn’t use spa but looked nice . Steps .. many people would have this. As a negative , but we appreciated the 82 steep steps up to our room , only exercise we got !!! No Smoking , not allowed around pool day or night ( other than the smoking shelter ) although about 80% of guests vape around pool As so far out , you are first one dropped off and last to be collected Air con good / effective Drinking water freely available around the hotel free Pool toilets , clean and well equipped . Clean shower and place to get ready once you’ve been kicked out if your room on departure day Negative: Location.. we don’t mind being a little out of the way but this is too far . It’s actually Arona , Los Christianos and at least a 40 minute walk ( through derelict car parks and streets) to Las Americas … 10-12 euros each way in Taxi . You are very much in land ( we couldn’t see the sea from where we were , it was so far away ) Overcrowded. 200 rooms feels like 2000!! Pool areas are carnage , queues for the dinning room can be massive , the pool is like human soup sometimes . Communal areas are not enough for the amount of people Sunbeds: you do have to get up at about 6.30-7 to get your sunbed . Partly due to the pools being very deep ( Min 140 cm) in kids pool . You have to be close to keep an eye . Lifeguards: only really concerned about anyone standing on the central part of the big pool . Not about grown men somersault ing into baby pools , people vaping in the pool, swearing , getting hammered etc. Cockroaches: unfortunately, there were quite a few around the hotel , found one in our bathroom . Reception staff : pleasant enough but rarely helpful , unless you want a taxi ordering . Most questions I asked , they didn’t know the answer to and made no attempt to find out . I once asked about the vending machine that wasn’t working , I was abruptly told “ look if you don’t know how to use it , don’t “ . Other. Bits . There was rarely more than a few couples / families checking in at once . It would not be too much to ask to have assistance with both finding the room and help with bags . The place is very difficult to navigate and you were forever watching new arrivals wandering around up and down steps with several cases completely lost . Towels . To be charged 2 euros per pool towel tochange after a week is pretty pathetic and leaves a bad taste . I understand they don’t want you changing every da

Big group family holiday and it was perfect for the kids who loved the pools and plenty of other kids to play with. The apartments are very big and comfortable but absolutely no use to a family with 2 small children as you are not going to allow them to sleep on a different floor with a very steep marble staircase !! The apartments are a little tired and could do with some basic maintenance but were kept very clean we had cleaners every day which was very nice. Pool is great but sun loungers are so close together you almost have to climb onto them but we didn’t struggle to get a bed even as a large group. The food was actually very good and we are picky ,we didn’t eat there every night but the nights we did were very nice especially the Asian night. Not sure we would go back but that’s just because we like to try different places.

Wow! Just home from this hotel and it was amazing. Hotel Stunning and clean. Duplex style apartments and had everything you need. Pools were fab and cleaned every evening aswell as staff going around during the day cleaning. Food was fantastic, different themes every night plus a snack bar for drinks and food like chips, nuggets, crisps, hot dogs and desserts. All inclusive is a must, unlimited foods and drinks and a wide selection included. Staff Every single one was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Couldn't do enough for you. The kids clubs were a big hit with my 2 and 7 year old. They particularly loved Shelby who was amazing with them. All the girls and Carlos were fab. Entertainment Brilliant every night. Kids disco from 8-930pm then shows after. Foam parties (every Wednesday) aqua aerobics and water polo to name a few that was on daily. Once a week the hotel run a big night, I was there for 10 days so got to experience the white party and summer ball. The children and adults loved them. Honestly the best hotel I've ever stayed in. It's about a 20 min walk to the main ***** but we only left the hotel one evening to see it but definitely no need to leave the hotel. Taxi only about 8 euro down. Free shuttle to siam park and beach. Oo and no crazy dash for sun loungers either. Plenty to go around. Hotel also has a supermarket on site which sells everything you might need.
