Asterion Suites & Spa - Designed for Adults

Difficult to find fault with this one. Would point out that if you want liveliness and a loud music scene this is not for you. If you are looking for true relaxation with peace and attentive care then this is the best place. Properly chilled here. Would recommend a room with private pool which we made the best of. Great care from staff including Tasos and Milanos who looked after every need in restaurants. Great bar staff again very attentive from Gergio and Christos. Care taken to ensure allergy needs met. Straight into the beach. If there was anything then whilst they promise not to permit sun bed hogging beyond an hour this was not policed. Probably due to being small and trying to please all. Everyone we met celebrated the hotel and general environment. Will be heading back.

Just returned from a 10 night stay at asterion. The hotel rooms were clean and food was very good for all inclusive. Breakfast can get a little repetitive but not really sure what else they could offer! I personally didn’t like that there was only 1 set of cutlery at breakfast and the knife and fork was taken from your dirty plate and placed back on the table - I’m sure I could have asked for a fresh set with no problem but for 5 star it should just be replaced. The lunch on all inclusive is not buffet and is a menu - which we prefer. Food at lunch came out quick and hot. There are a couple of bars walking distance from the hotel which we visited and enjoyed. We caught the bus into chania and Platanias on several occasions, around €2 per travel which is very worth it. 10 mins into Platanias and 30-40 mins into chania. The hotel itself was very relaxed and not much for entertainment but that is what we wanted. The pool area was lovely although the fresh pool towels didn’t come out until late morning - we ended up keeping ours from the day before to use. There are lots of cats and dogs around the area which we had no problem with as we are animal lovers. Overall a very good stay.

My wife and I enjoyed a quite relaxing break in this gem of a hotel. The staff are truly amazing the hotel's biggest asset. On arrival we noticed the wheel on one of our suitcases had become damaged in transit, eventually falling off on the way to our hotel room. Roberto the maintenance man noticed our problem, collected our case next morning from our room and performed a perfect repair returning the case same day. The room and swim up area were good, our chambermaid Yoanna did an excellent job, the room was spotlessly clean. Goran and Katerina were terrific hosts at breakfast which was excellent. Always plenty of well shaded loungers around the pool and beach. We used the a la carte restaurant on several occasions during our ten day stay which was very enjoyable. The evening buffet can become repetitive, more variety of the buffet fish and meat options is the only criticism. The restaurant manager Manolis was always on hand for a conversation about the food offerings, he was very impressive. Finally the bar staff Jorge and Christophe ran a great bar the delivery service to your lounger was much appreciated. We will be returning.

I recently stayed at Asterion Hotel & Spa in Chania, Crete, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel boasts stunning sea views and beautifully designed rooms that provide a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

We have just left for the airport from the most relaxing holiday ever! It’s our first time doing an adults only and it won’t be our last. From checking in to checking out, every single member of staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The rooms, pool area and restaurants are all very clean (this is a big thing for me when going on holiday). Rooms cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Ordering drinks from your sunbed is a big win for this hotel, waiting no longer than 5 minutes for it to arrive. Thank you to you all for a wonderful holiday! X

This hotel is one of the nicest we have stayed at. It provides comfortable luxury. From management to housekeeping every member of staff were cheery and provided excellent service. Lovely little touches. Nespresso machine. Water delivered daily. Private pool cleaned. Etc. Lovely spa treatments with Elana and Joanna. Goran, Katrina and Tasos were incredibly warm welcoming at breakfast time. Breakfast was a very varied spread of great food and drink choices. Manilo ran the restaurant very well. Very attentive and delicious food. Giannis at reception looked after us very well. We had a private pool room- Galaxy. Their room grades are clearly named so when you book you know exactly what you are getting. Not the case with a lot of hotels that I feel is more a pot luck situation. Lovely beach walk from the hotel on both directions. Walking left and along the front we used The Little fun train to do some sightseeing. Well priced and enjoyable. We visited Chania by taxi. The harbour in the old town is incredibly beautiful with great restaurant options fronting onto the harbour. All inclusive seemed a popular option and we could see the benefit with high quality food and drink. We however had booked bed and breakfast so as well as booking and eating at the hotels excellent restaurant we also ventured out….. Amaryllides next to hotel is a lovely family run place to eat. They speak highly of their relationship with the hotel which is nice to hear. A 20 minute walk to Waves is worth it. Gorgeous seafront restaurant and a nice change of scenery.

The Hotel is suited in a very quite area with not much in the way of shops and restaurants, i am not sure of the local transport but would recommend hiring a car to explore the island. We arrived at the Hotel to be assigned room 222, it was spacious and clean, but overlooked the main car park. The main problem was underneath the room was a storage area and most mornings at about 0600 it became very noisy with workers moving equipment and banging around. The main restaurant is situated near the pool the staff are very friendly and make you welcome, Breakfast is OK with the usual hot and cold food, the toaster is decrepit and only some of the slots work, but its useful for warming your plate as they are cold and the food is only warm, I did mention this to the staff but nothing was done. The evening meal was disappointing, only a small selection of bread was available and again plates were cold with food only warm, the choice of warm food was poor, although the roast meat was enjoyed by the Cats! The choice of deserts was extremely poor with only a few cakes and no ice cream, no Tea or Coffee was offered at the end of the meal.
