Mariposa Belize Beach Resort

The resort was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and honest. They made us feel so welcomed and truly a wonderful experience! I recommend!!!!

Our stay at the Mariposa was great! We loved our suite and private balcony. The staff was kind and attentive. The only thing that wasn't fantastic was the food selection, but there were other options around to try. We loved getting to use the bikes to check out the village.

5/5 Stars! I just returned from an unforgettable stay at Mariposa Beach Resort in Placencia, Belize. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. The journey to the resort was an adventure in itself, with a scenic puddle jumper flight to Placencia's tiny airport. George, the resort's friendly staff member, greeted us at the airport and whisked us away to the resort. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing, scented towels and a signature cocktail (they have plenty to choose from!). Our bags were already being taken to our stunning treehouse, which offered the perfect blend of privacy, comfort, and luxury. The treehouse was immaculate, with a comfortable bed, plush pillows, and a stocked mini-fridge with refreshments and beer. The hammock on the front porch was the perfect spot to relax and unwind while sipping on a cold beer. The resort's amenities, including the restaurant, pool, and beach, were just a short stroll from our treehouse. The food was exceptional, with delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. George, our friendly resort staff member, also facilitated our scooter rental, making it easy to explore the peninsula. I highly recommend Mariposa Beach Resort to anyone seeking a tranquil, luxurious getaway in paradise. The staff's warm hospitality, combined with the resort's stunning amenities and beautiful surroundings, made for an unforgettable experience. Can't wait to return!

My sister and I had an amazing stay with Mariposa. The treehouse room was great for our needs, and just a quick walk to the restaurant, pool, and beach! We hardly left the resort since we felt like they had everything we needed -- good food & drinks, beautiful beach access, helpful staff, and comfortable accommodations. They also helped us to schedule some local tours (we can recommend snorkeling at Laughing Bird Caye and the Monkey River Tour!) and the access to bikes let us explore the town on our own time. We also enjoyed the Tropic Air domestic flight to Placencia that Mariposa organized for us- it gave us great views of the coastline and was a fun experience. If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing stay in Belize, Mariposa is a wonderful choice. I would definitely return.
