We stayed here for 4 nights to watch baseball at PNC Park. The location was good as we were able to walk to games every day. Free parking was great and the rooms are fairly spacious. Unfortunately, that’s the best I can say. At check-in I was not offered water or a snack for being a Diamond member, which is not a huge deal and I obviously didn’t make a big deal but we had been driving for 8 hours and the water/snack would have been appreciated. The little things matter. The hotel was very crowded so breakfast items ran out or low when we came down to eat. But the worst was that housekeeping did not clean our room the entire time. We had to call late at night for clean towels and then again to have them please clean our room. They did bring towels and take out the trash but did not clean the room. The negative reviews about room cleanliness are warranted. We stay at Hamptons all the time and this one was disappointing. Will reconsider staying at a Hampton Inn and Suites going forward.

We had an awesome stay in June (2025) at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Downtown Pittsburgh! The hotel was incredibly clean, and our room itself was no exception there - in addition to being super spacious and comfortable. The central location near "The *****" downtown was awesome, as well. It must be said that what TRULY made our stay a special one came down to the fantastic Abby at the front desk. She was so warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and went out of her way to make sure we had - and knew - everything we needed. Even towards the end of her shift, she was happy to share recommendations on local places to order from (since it was too late to venture out and find open restaurants). At one point when the pool towels had run low, Abby came by in a flash with a whole stack of fresh towels - no joke, everyone swimming literally cheered when she walked in; partly grateful for the towels, but I couldn't help but hear others thanking her by name as well. It just showed how much of an impact she made on not just our party, but for other hotel guests as well. In a time when "customer service" is more and more being overtaken by automation - Abby seemed like a beacon of the difference that sincere care (and humanity!) can make!

I recently stayed for my trip to Anthrocon with two friends of mine and absolutely loved it! The rooms were great, can’t pass up a hotel with free breakfast, and not to mention the staff! Totally polite and patient with us all. There was one person that went above and beyond for us all and that was James! Thank you so much for making us feel welcome during our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely come back to stay for another Anthrocon.

Me and my friends went down for AnthroCon and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as usual. We always boon through this Hampton and will continue in the years to come. Always clean, just a short distance from the convention center, and the friendliest staff too. James was a big help when we needed it and we appreciate him very much. Hope to see everyone again next year!

It’s easier to always provide an amazing experience than to come back from a not so good experience….Lamont at the front desk made me forget about the fire alarm that went off until 3AM & the fact that I stayed Wednesday to Sunday and never got my room cleaned. He left a Birthday card, wine and cookies on my room dresser when they cleaned my room on Saturday!!! He didn’t have to but he truly made my 45th birthday!!! The front desk manager also provided a good experience :)

VERY nice hotel across from HEINZ MUSEUM FREE breakfast was very good STAYED during KIWANIS convention easy walk to convention center Walked to PNC park for pirates game just walk across bridge 20 min tops FREE parking was a very nice benefit
