The hotel was nice and the breakfast was well supplied and tended. However, there were days with no housekeeping… I even asked for it and the dirty towels were left in the room, the beds were not made, the trash was not emptied and at no point were the coffee/tea/cups restocked in the room. I don’t mind sheets not being changed every day and having the option to forego clean towels… but I greatly dislike the emerging practice of hotels providing no service of rooms on some days.

The hotel was clean, but he beds were comfortable (including trundle pull out bed). The shower had decent water pressure (with adjustable head). We were there 3 nights, so no maid service (available if needed). The staff was very friendly and helpful (especially Ray). The complementary breakfast and coffee was very good, with eggs, breakfast meat, oatmeal and waffles as hot options, along with cereal, yogurts bagels and muffins. Our room had a view of the city and was nice with 2 queen beds, fridge microwave and TV. The hotel is right over the Hot metal bridge. Easy drive to downtown, Oakland and north shore. Walking distance to great restaurants, ice cream, small park with food trucks and activities.

The hotel was cleaning and nice looking. The room is very spacious. The only complain I had was the noise coming from the train passing by the hotel. But that is likely because they put me at a corner room close the train track

Hope you like trains
The hotel is directly next to train tracks. ALL NIGHT LONG we were listening to the train blow its horn, which it is required to do by law. And our room shared a wall with the elevator. We will never stay at ANY Marriott (and I’m a rewards member) again. The room was also dusty.
