Knockendarroch Hotel

Great customer service is sadly becoming a bit of a hit or a miss these days which is why you should choose the Knockendarroch hotel for your stay in Pitlochry. The hotel is lovely, located close to the town centre with a myriad of places to visit in the surrounding area such as House of Bruar, Blair Castle, Faskaly Woods, Tummel Bridge, the Salmon Ladder, The Hermitage at Dunkeld and many more. We stayed in a garden room which was very nice as the weather was lovely for October and we were able to sit outside for short periods. The room was not large but it was extremely well equipped with a beautiful shower room, plentiful towels, bathrobes and slippers. A Nespresso machine with a regular supply of coffee pods was a welcome inclusion. The staff were delightful and very, very attentive. Even when they were busy with other matters, they would stop and ask if they could get you anything or did you need help with anything. There appeared to be a small but very efficient team of staff who were on hand to see to your every need without ever being intrusive. The food was exceptional with a good choice suitable for most tastes. Dinner was very relaxed with canapés and drinks in the lounge while you browse the menu and coffee with delicious tablet served again in the lounge after dinner or in the dining room if that was your preference. Two huge log fires made the lounge a very pleasant experience with comfy seating and the chance to chat with other guests. The breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of breakfast food on offer. The haggis and black pudding were both delicious and after such a hearty breakfast a very light lunch was sufficient until dinner. We came away from the Knockendarroch feeling that we had been well looked after and treated as valued guests and agreed that we must return at the first opportunity. The weather was exceptional during the days we spent in Pitlochry but we were convinced that even though it had been awful we would still have had a lovely, relaxing time at the Knockendarroch hotel with the very relaxing atmosphere, coupled with the guest oriented staff and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

We loved this place, we booked it last minute for our visit to The Enchanted Forest, the staff were amazing, the food was delicious, hotel was clean and cosy. We honestly had such a lovely stay and would not hesitate to stay here again. Huge thanks to all the staff here for such a lovely stay and experience.

On a recent trip to Scotland and our first visit ever we chose to stay in Pitlochry for 5 days immersing ourselves in the Highlands, and we were very pleased with our choice, particularly our stay at the Knockendarroch Hotel. The room was spacious and offered beautiful views of the countryside. Although, initially opting for only the bed and breakfast package, a pre-arrival call from Adam led us to try the hotel's dinner- and after enjoying it on the 2nd night of our stay we then booked dinner for the remainder of our stay. The gourmet dishes combined with traditional Scottish fare with creative twists, making each meal memorable. However, the standout feature at the Knockendarroch was the staff, including Louise, Adam, Patricia, Flo, Violet, Zsat and the rest who provided exceptional service. I highly recommend the Knockendarroch Hotel as the ideal place to stay to enjoy great cuisine, scenic views, and a welcome pampering experience for anyone visiting the Scottish Highlands.

Absolutely excellent Hotel in all respects. Very convenient location close to the Centre of Pitlochry and with great free parking on site.We stayed in room 3 and had a lovely view over Pitlochry as the hotel is on slightly higher ground. Our room was very well provided with high quality furniture and was extremely comfortable. Two lounges downstairs for pre-dinner drinks with lovely log fires. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and dinner was high-end fine dining. Atmosphere was serene and tranquil. This is definitely a boutique hotel which is well suited for couples wishing to enjoy a peaceful and sophisticated hotel experience.

The room was large and very comfortable with a great view. Very nice Shower and bath. The staff were very helpful and the service and food at the restaurant were tremendous. We were on a walking tour and this was a great place to arrive to at the end of a long day of hiking. Conveniently located , welcoming with comfortable and well appointed rooms

We have nothing but praise for this hotel. The staff were welcoming; the room was very well equipped and spotless, and the food was excellent. The lounge had a blazing log fire and lots of comfortable chairs. We were particularly impressed by the way a relatively small staff coped with the guests at dinner in a very efficient and unhurried way.

We had a wonderful stay at Knockendarroch and highly recommend the hotel and restaurant. The staff are friendly and professional, the food outstanding and our suite was comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our stay was everything we hoped it would be.

There is no better place to stay in Pitlochry than Knockendarroch. The location is perfect with stunning views. If it is peace and tranquillity you are looking for then this is for you. The hotel is spotlessly clean and boasts a wonderful restaurant where the food is exquisite; the staff are lovely too. We stayed in the Larch House Suite adjacent to the hotel and it was just stunning. This is not our first trip to Knockendarroch and it certainly won’t be our last.

Wonderful hotel, best small hotel we have been to anywhere in the United Kingdom! Food is beyond wonderful with a different menu each night. The service is superb with a very family feel. I don't think I have been to such a superb hotel where everything is close to perfection. Highly recommended, just visit and experience it!
