Hotels near Tongxinggong, Pingyao

Advantages: Inside the scenic area, it is easy to walk and very close to the Yamen. The whole yard is also very nice, and there are kittens in it, which are very cute. Disadvantages: The room is a bit trendy and the facilities are simple, but I stay here just for the experience, so I can't compare it with a hotel. The most important problem is that I hope you don't encounter a neighbor who doesn't rest in the middle of the night. The sound insulation is almost the same. You can hear the washing and talking next door clearly, which is too uncomfortable.

Excellent location in the old city. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Provide a free shuttle service between hotel and city gate since cars are not allowed in the city walls. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower was a bit low.

The boss was very enthusiastic and reliable. He arrived late on the first day. I was afraid that the road was unfamiliar and went to the East Gate to pick him up. I called in advance to ask the arrival time to prepare the room for heating to ensure the stay experience, and the next day. The whole hotel is antique, the second floor can see the city building, a good stay experience

Really nice place, but as for most hotels, you cannot expect the staff to speak English (not a problem for me, but if you don't speak any Chinese be prepared). Location is great as it is around 2 minutes walk from 南大街/South Street and all the main museums and courtyards. The owners were very friendly and helpful, making time to explain all the places to see and were to eat. They can even help with good discounts, e.g. for the historical-themed performance '又见平遥'/Encore Pingyao as well as for restaurants. The hotel is in a beautiful traditional courtyard, very quiet area so you will sleep well at night. The room has traditional furniture, adding to the atmosphere, and while small (but good value for the price) was comfortable. The bed is a so-called 'kang' with heating - it was so comfortable in the cold winter that it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! Part of the floor has heating too. The cleanliness is good too. I would really recommend this place, very good atmosphere and with everything you need to be comfortable.

Hotel decoration: simple, elegant and thoughtful. Full of gentle oriental aesthetics. The antiques of the original house have been preserved and carefully restored. The hotel uses a light aromatherapy, which gives people a sense of relaxation when entering. Hotel service: The quality of the service staff is very high, which is better than that of chain five-star hotels. Everywhere is full of humanistic care. When we walked in on the first day, the weather was a little hot, so we were immediately given face towels and lemon ginger juice, which instantly relieved the heat. When you go out, you will definitely help open and hold the door. At breakfast, help you considerately. On the day of departure, the hotel specially arranged a shuttle bus to the east gate. Living in Jinzhai, I really feel at home. Hotel meals: The presentation is exquisite, needless to say. But what’s more important is what’s inside – the ingredients are carefully selected, no sucrose or white sugar is added, the jam is all-natural, and the bread is baked in-house. I personally recommend the mung bean and millet porridge. There is a fragrance of mung beans in your mouth, which wakes up the beautiful morning of the day. Pingyao is really a good place, I will come again. Stay in a suite next time, it will be luxurious. Now go back and work hard and earn money.

A very distinctive B&B, probably the best one in the ancient city. The accommodation conditions are very good and the location is very convenient. Both the north and south courtyards of the house are ancient buildings that are hundreds of years old. There are many places to take pictures in your own yard without having to go out and squeeze with the crowd. The housekeeper is also very enthusiastic and takes the initiative to arrange pick-up and drop-off. I am very satisfied!

I have recently stayed at Pingyao Jia Inn, I really enjoy staying there. The staff were friendly and treated guests like family, especially the Owner and his wife. They do not hesitate to help me to manage my traveling plan around Pingyao. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. I would recommend Pingyao Jia Inn to everyone. Can’t wait to visit it again !

Very good location. Within the old town and close to many attractions and to the lower west gate where taxis can drop passengers. Very good services from staff. The hotel was converted from an old mansion which is a tourist attraction in itself. Do note that there are steps between the entrance and most rooms. Also, our room was over two floors. While these steps and stairs do not bother us it is something to note.

This Inn is managed by a family that is very nice. Once you arrive from the train station (Pingyaogucheng) with a taxi, they come to pick you up to the Inn (2 min) because the taxi isn't allowed inside the ancient city. They offer to drive you one way to or from the train station (it's free). I was in a room with a traditional atmosphere (with a kang bed having a mattress a little harder than others).

The room is very nice, the antique style and the service attitude are also good. The location is very good, just walk 50 meters straight from the north gate of the ancient city.
