The biggest surprise for me during this trip to Pingyao was the quaint courtyard of Delian. The courtyard satisfied all my imaginations of ancient buildings in Shanxi. The courtyard has three entrances, and the room is decorated with a big kang. The room is newly decorated and has supplies from Half an acre of flower fields. The room is very comfortable to sleep in. The bed is clean, and the toilet is smart. The breakfast provided includes tofu pudding, soy milk, etc. The key is that the hotel is in a very good location, close to the west gate of the ancient city and at the end of the pedestrian street. It is quiet and you can go out to see the lively streets. It is not far from the performance of See Pingyao Again, which is worth seeing. The hotel sent a car to the high-speed rail station to pick me up and helped me buy tickets for the performance of See Pingyao Again. This homestay made me feel a different Pingyao.
