Where should I start....maybe by "Do not book your holiday here". A 4 star Superior, more like a 3 at a push. The hotel definetely does not feel like a 4 star. The Elevators are noisy and shaky, when available, also trying to fit 4 people in one of those is a struggle. The room was nice but that is all, not what you expect from a 4 star. We paid extra for the front sea view with a balcony, do not make that mistake and save your money, because in the moment you seat down in the balcony you will not be able to enjoy the view, you will find your view blocked by the frosted glass, you have to stand up if you want to enjoy the train tracks view from your balcony. We had breakfast, however, you will be better with a coffee and toast from one of the bars around the corner. You get cordial juice from the machines, if you want proper juice that would be an extra 2.50 euros, if you want waffles that would be an extra 2.50 euros, if you want machine coffee that would also be2.50 euros extra, and so on... Also I don't think the cook has seen a real sausage in his/her life, breakfast sausage, the ones they serve for breakfast are party or cocktail sausage. Never greated with a smile by the restaurant Maitre, she had a face on all the time, shouting at people and staff, a little like Matilda's teacher. Crack a smile! it wont hurt. Our room was just below the hotel signs, too bright at night and during the day you could see the horrible state of the corroded metal, with the hotel wall on each side needed a bit of paint or just a good clean. Warning to people going to enjoy the beach: buy some rubber shoes! there are so many stones, the front is so deep that you would not be able to stand. After 11 at night everything is closed in Pineda, hardly anything to do.

Myself and my partner stayed here for 4 nights 2nd-6th May. We arrived at around 21:30 to be told the food area was closed but they had put food in our room for us which we thought was a nice touch. How wrong we were. My partner bit into what looked like a chicken cutlet completely RAW. When we took it down to reception their response was ‘the chef was no longer working to cook anymore’ we obviously didn’t want anything more after that. We had booked all inclusive but to our surprise when we got there that did not mean everything (alcohol wise). There were two types of all inclusive bands. Premium meant you were limited to what drinks you can have. Gold you can have everything. We booked through love holidays and assumed all inclusive meant all inclusive. There was no option to upgrade to gold when we initially booked. Food was average, pretty much the same thing everyday & nothing could be taken outside of the dining room. Breakfast is from 7:30-10, although on the Pineda palace website it states that there is a roof top bar serving drinks & snacks from 10:30. This is false information as the rooftop bar is only open during peak times ‘June-September’ which meant having to go down 8 floors to the bottom floor to get drinks to have by the pool. Not great when only 1 lift was working. The pool area did not have any umbrellas and looks nothing like the photos online, a lot smaller in fact and very shallow. The room was advertised as an air conditioned room, that was not the case. The aircon was turned off throughout the hotel as it was not ‘hot enough’ for it to be on apparently, although the room was uncomfortably hot to sleep in. We went to reception to complain that they should not advertise the room as air conditioned if they turn the aircon off. Had we known all of this we probably wouldn’t have booked to stay here. On a brighter note, the rooms were clean & the bar staff & waiters/waitress were great. Drinks were generous. The hotel is across the road from a beautiful beach & has plenty of places around to eat/drink. Mala Pekora - Italian D tapeo - Tapas Indian Palace - Indian All within walking distance of the hotel and 100% recommend. The hotel also has a sauna area which you can book for an hour at a cost of €5pp. This was quite nice and relaxing.

Service is great. Food excellent. Lot of choices, there is something for everybody and everything is great. WiFi reaching out to the beach. Beach is really near. You can get beach towels with the deposit. Rooms are clean. We are really satisfied.

I booked a weekend away with the girls to Hotel htop Pineda Palace & SPA in Spain for 3nights 4 days, From the night we arrived at the hotel it was all lovely the staff was very friendly and easy to approach, the food was hit or miss and they had a lot of various options, drinks was priced well, entertainment was fun to watch. I would highly recommend this please, beach is literally across the way and prefect. Shops are local, train Stainton two minutes up the road, so we went and spent the day I'm Barcelona, ( be very carefully at the train station in Barcelona as they are very good pick pockets two girls stole my purse ) as I was putting my phone in my bag so when I came back into the hotel the manager was so lovely told me what will happen let police know I was comming booked me a taxi and all of this when he really dint have to I honestly couldn't thank him enough for what was a stressful time the manage made it feel so much ease. I will definitely be back to this hotel again it's truly lovely high 5* from me

We stayed here for 1 week. The location within the resort is great, right across from the beach, with the train station, shops and cafes all within minutes walk away. The thing we loved about this hotel is the super friendly staff, with the exception of the restaurant manager, who was always surly, everyone was great, smiling and chatty. Our room was nice, with plenty of space and it was cleaned well daily. The public areas were also always clean and tidy. We liked the rooftop pool and terrace, using it every evening after 9pm when it was adults only. The views both over to the sea and over to the mountains were beautiful and we found it a very peaceful place to relax at night. For those wanting a more lively evening there was daily entertainment downstairs on the terrace, including a mini disco for the children. The thing that stopped this hotel from being 4 star for us was the food and the poor all inclusive package. The buffet offerings were hit and miss, some of the themed nights, such as the Chinese and Mexican were good, but a couple of nights we struggled to find something we really liked. We found the dessert offerings and breakfast cakes/ pastries quite cheap quality. The burgers and hotdogs which were available every meal were also the very basic, cheap types. We chose to eat out the last couple of evenings. The all inclusive option we were sold was also misleading. Only 1 cocktail option per night was offered, all other cocktails had supplements to be paid. Slush drinks for children were not included and only very cheap tasting unbranded ice cream tubs or ice pops were free. Better ice creams and snacks were available but again had to be paid for. None of this is made clear before booking and several other families at the resort we chatted to felt cheated as we did. The bar was open till 1am, but all inclusive ended at 11pm. The all inclusive guests were a bit like second class citizens, paying guests had coffee freshly made by staff at bar, served with a chocolate on side, all inclusive had to self serve from a machine, ( no chocolate) which was turned off at 11pm and not turned back on until 10am. We noticed the paying guests also had their alcoholic drinks presented nicely while the free cocktails and drinks had no embellishments.

* Towels are included (just incase you are only taking hand luggage and stressing what you need to pack- towels can be left at home) * Staff were fabulous, couldn’t fault any of them. * Room was clean, someone came in to remake the beds daily. * Lots to choose from re buffett, food changed each night too so there was some variety. * Drinks were reasonably priced, can be strong if you don’t normally drink- get an extra lemonade/coke to balance the strength out. * Beach just across the road which was very handy. * Even if your not swimming, highly recommend some drinks on the rooftop in the evening. * There are loads of shops, cafes and restaurants to the left and right of the hotel. Places to buy gifts, clothes, pharmacy etc. * Room check out was 10am, our transfer was 6pm, they have a room where you can store your bags, you are welcomed to still use the facilities- toilets, bar, seating areas etc while you wait. We have had a really lovely stay, we will definitely come back and I’d love to bring my children too. Loads of parks for the children to use. For those of you who geocache- there are loads in the area! Additionally we required support after one of our purses was taken on the train in Barcelona- hotel management were really helpful, they really took time to check we were okay, contact the police and organise a taxi. Even checking in after they had clocked off to check all was okay. The police were helpful and there was a translator available to us at the police station. We genuinely felt cared about and helped. I strongly suggest if you require help just ask at the front desk. Couldn’t recommend higher. Well done to the team - Thank you
