Let me start by saying, i live minutes from Detroit and it takes a lot to make me uncomfortable. I booked a room for myself and my 4 year old son last minute thinking, based on the pictures, that this was a decent hotel for the price. ABSOLUTELY NOT. To start, this motel makes the back alley that it sits on look like the hood. I was sketched out as soon as i pulled up but i decided to give it a shot because i had just driven 10 hours with a toddler, by myself, and was exhausted. I hadn’t even walked in the front door and strange men were already bothering me asking if i needed help, and wouldn’t stop after i said no very firmly. The front desk clerk was clearly not friendly before he even opened his mouth. I finally check in and go to my room and i was horrified. Mold and water pockets in the walls, stains all over the ceiling, baseboards, walls, and fixtures, broken light in the bathroom to hide the disgusting shower, toilet, walls and floor, dead/live bugs everywhere. I. Was. Disgusted. There was a room two doors down from mine with red lights in the window and i couldn’t help but get the vibe that Roxanne was residing next to me and my son. I didn’t unpack a single thing, or sit on any of the furniture. I immediately called the front desk telling the same unbothered man that i felt unsafe and that i needed to leave due to the state of the room, and the motel itself. He told me that he couldn’t help me and i had to call *********** to cancel. I then asked him how he could explain the state of the room that he assigned me, as he could most definitely do something about that, to which he told me to “bring the keys before i go if i don’t like it” and gave me the nastiest attitude and tone. I called the booking service and cancelled immediately and went to sevierville to a much nicer, and safer motel for only $100 more. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY. Don’t book here. As i was walking out i heard a woman screaming at someone outside of their room. That sealed the deal for me.
