The woman working the front desk was amazing. She saw me at the shop after I checked in and offered to take anything I bought back to the resort for me. The pool area and vibe was very nice. The bed wasn’t very comfortable. The pillows were lumpy and weird and the power in my villa went out a few times. Once, at night, when I was in the shower. I had to go to the desk in a towel BUT they fixed it quickly. They also had a mini bar in the room with beer, cola, and water. They tried to charge me for the water, but then didn’t. I always assume the water hotels provide is free. But overall. It was close to Chalong Pier and a shop. The two nights I stayed there were fine. Seems they rent out scooters and have packages for divers to stay there. Would I stay there again… probably not… but if you are a diver do it.

I thought I booked a pier. The result is that the small road next to it is full of twists and turns. Many taxis can’t be found, but it’s really not far away. The room is small and the service staff is very friendly. The swimming pool is much deeper than the general ones. It’s suitable for people like us who want to learn diving.

The Palm Garden was a wonderful experience in a secluded enclave off the main highway about a 10-15 minute walk from the pier and a row of restaurants and shops. The food at the resort was excellent and the service was top-notch. There is nice roomy swimming pool with a deep hole at the deep end for resort dive training.
The area as a whole is not especially interesting unless you have a car but it's an excellent retreat location for R&R.

We enjoyed this accomodation for its pool area, peacefulness and relaxation. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The resort itself is a bit of a distance from surrounding restaurants and attractions, and at times we felt isolated. Overall, the Palm Garden Resort was a lovely place to stay.
