An honest review of the hotel without unnecessary flattery.
I must say a big thank you for upgrading our room to a sea view, the view is truly gorgeous, and the room is spacious, with a large balcony and a good air conditioning system, there is even a ceiling fan and usually it was enough!
But there are also downsides:
The cleaning is very mediocre for this class of hotel and room category! At best, they vacuum the floor, there is no wet cleaning, we did not go to the balcony to clean it every day, and when we checked in, we found someone's toothbrush on the floor and hair on the walls of the shower.
They change the towels every day, although on the last day they smelled strongly of bleach, although before that everything was great! The sheets are changed upon request (a sign is placed on the bed), neither the pillowcases nor the duvet cover were changed for 7 nights.
They regularly replenished the gels and shampoos - everything is ok here!
Bottled water is replenished every day, tea/coffee in bags. For afternoon tea they bring muffins or pies.
A service charge is charged for all purchases in the bars on the premises, and it doesn't matter whether you ordered it to your room or came to the bar yourself.
Once we ordered beer to our room and together with the order they brought us a bill (a tablet with a paper bill), we left the amount of money on the tablet (it was slightly more than the order amount), the next day, when we returned from the beach, there was no money on the tablet, no receipt either, and this piece of paper was put under the TV. We regarded this as the fact that the payment was accepted. But when leaving the hotel we were again asked to pay for the order, and it turned out that the 300 baht that we left on the tablet, the staff regarded as a tip! Fortunately, the manager called someone, found out everything and they did not ask us to pay again. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant a couple of times: the location is great, right on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea, the wind blows nicely and the service itself is pretty good! The dishes are signature and expensive, but I wouldn't say they're worth the money, and the pleasure is more from the fact that the place has a view, and not from the food. Breakfasts... a lot of reviews say that the breakfasts are very weak, and that's true! Healthy lifestyle enthusiasts will find them good for themselves, but they'll eat the same thing every day))
There are always fresh ones: cucumbers/tomatoes/peppers/lettuce/onions, boiled beets. There are delicious local fruits and fresh juices from them. Eggs will be cooked to your taste! Side dishes are not always available, and if there are, then only one thing, during the week there was boiled Thai rice once, and a couple of times their local vermicelli in sauces. Ham/cheese/lightly salted salmon. And a couple of local dishes. Tea is in bags, and the coffee is delicious! There is also homemade yogurt, nuts, cereal, seeds, two types of jam, honey, bread, and they can make waffles for you.
Of course, we did not leave hungry, but for such a hotel it is strange!
Breakfasts are held in the same restaurant, and the views here are amazing!
Towels for the beach can be taken on the way, at the bar. The road to the beach takes no more than 5 minutes, along a concrete path and stairs. The beach is small and cozy, there are umbrellas with sun loungers (200 baht).
Sun loungers are comfortably located on the territory, near the pools and with beautiful views. The staff comes into the room several times a day, something new, I have never seen anything like this: first they clean the room, then they bring a cupcake, in the evening they make the bed, lay out orchids, turn on the fumigator and close the curtains)) very nice, but strange)) although on the territory the staff sometimes passes by you without saying hello, although in Thailand everyone is very polite))
The hotel also sometimes treats the territory from mosquitoes, the next day there was not a single mosquito in the area)))
As a result, we were satisfied with the rest, but if we had not been upgraded or we had taken this room with our own money, it would have been sad!
The hotel should work on its customer focus!
