Unfortunately, my experience at Patong Bay Hill Resort was extremely disappointing and fell far below expectations for a 4-star hotel.
Room:
I stayed in a Premier Suite Seaview for five nights. The room was in poor condition in terms of cleanliness. There were bed bugs, and the bedding was only changed once during the entire stay, despite daily requests for clean sheets. The bathroom towels had a foul odor, making them unusable. Additionally, the pool was not fully filled with water, which was quite disappointing.
Staff:
The driver who picked us up refused to carry all of our luggage and only transported part of it. We later discovered that one of the bags he handled was damaged. While the reception staff were friendly, they were unable to resolve any of the issues we raised during our stay.
Restaurant:
Breakfast was repetitive and lacked variety. The same limited options were served every day, with no consideration for guests staying multiple nights.
Transportation to Patong Beach:
The hotel’s shuttle driver was consistently unhelpful and unpleasant. The walk to Patong Beach takes about 30 minutes, or around 10 minutes by taxi. If you can’t tolerate the shuttle driver’s attitude, you’ll have to hire a taxi at your own expense (approximately 300 THB per ride).
Value for Money:
Overall, the experience was extremely poor. I do not recommend staying at this hotel unless major improvements are made. In my opinion, this hotel deserves only one star, and we felt misled by its 4-star rating. There are 2-star hotels in the area that provide much better service and comfort.
