Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket

We chose two hotels in Phuket. We chose Centara Grand for the last three nights. We chose a twin-bed sea view family room like the first hotel. This time, we not only paid a deposit, but also asked for nearly 10,000 baht for the two children. It was reasonable and we were prepared to pay more, but we didn't ask for an extra bed but paid the price for an extra bed, which was unreasonable. We told the front desk, but the lady's English was poor and she was not accommodating at all. She said the hotel could add an extra bed for me. It was almost nine o'clock in the evening, and we were too lazy to argue anymore. We could only pay more to check in. As a result, we stayed for three nights and no one came to add an extra bed. The room is very large, but unfortunately it is on the first floor, so the sea view room is blocked by trees, and it would be better if it could be one floor higher. The bathroom door is old and the sliding door can't be pulled up at all. 🥲 The five-star hotel room does not provide slippers, so I called the front desk to ask for them. I was dumbfounded when they were delivered. This one-time thing is too low. The hotel is very beautiful and popular in the peak season in February. There is a private beach, but there are no beach chairs, which is a bit of a pity. There were no seats for the lounge chairs by the pool at 7 o'clock. There were many Russian-speaking guests in the hotel, and some got up at 6 o'clock to grab seats by the pool. The breakfast was good and varied. Finally, let's talk about the location. It is halfway up the mountain. There is a road at the gate. It is actually quite dangerous with cars coming and going. There is no walking path. There is nothing outside the hotel. You have to take a taxi to go anywhere. Although it is only 15 minutes away from the city center on the map, I gave up after walking once in February with a temperature of more than 30 degrees. It would be even more uncomfortable if I came in summer and rainy season. So compared to the location, the first pullman wins. In short, if the price is more than 1,000, it is still possible to choose, but we paid nearly 3,000 a night and had the experience on the day of check-in, so I have to complain.

The rooms in this hotel are relatively clean, warm and comfortable, and the price is very affordable. The consumption is reasonable, and the pizza is delicious. The hotel has a rafting pool, a water slide, and a diving platform. You can stay at home in the hotel without going out.

I was very satisfied with this trip. The location is excellent, the beach is private, the swimming pool is very playable, the management service of a five-star hotel is needless to say, and I even had a beach dinner on Valentine's Day. The only drawback is that there are no businesses around, and the nearest 711 requires about half an hour's walk along the beach.

Luxury hotel, facing the sea, luxurious swimming pool, rich breakfast, sparsely populated private beach, beautiful night view, and good hotel service. Some facilities are old, which is within normal range.
