The hotel is starting to show its age, and the rooms are not soundproof at all – you can hear everyone walking by. It feels more like a 4-star hotel rather than a 5-star. On the bright side, the location is great, just a short walk from Surin Beach. The security guard was very friendly and welcoming, which added a nice touch to the stay.

We stayed in the Plunge Pool room at Outrigger Surin and loved it. The room was cozy and modern, and having our own private pool was such a bonus—perfect for a quick dip any time of day. It felt peaceful and private, which made it super relaxing. The bed was comfy, the AC worked well, and the overall vibe of the resort was laid-back. Great spot for a quiet escape, just a short walk to Surin Beach too. Would definitely stay here again.

The room is relatively small and the balcony is even smaller. Something like that shouldn't really be called a balcony. There's barely room for one or two chairs, so there's no room to move around at all. The room had an unpleasant smell several times a day that seemed to be coming from the drain. The bed linens also smelled unpleasant and the breakfast is a joke if you book it for 600 baht; it's definitely not worth it. Far too little choice. The bread is terribly dry. No comparison to the MELIA Hotel, where they serve salmon and a huge selection of fruit, fresh baguettes and more than just one hot meal. Basically the hotel is too expensive.
