Nice hotel but not the Palace Gate I thought I had booked. I know it’s the same ownership group, but having two hotels with the same name within 1km of each other is confusing. I’d change it.

It exceeded my expectations before I checked in.
The hotel is right next to Wat Bodong. You can see the temple from the balcony, as well as part of the palace in the distance. It takes just over 10 minutes to walk to the palace, which is really close. They also have a resort, which is closer to the palace and more expensive.
The room is apartment-style and you can cook, which is very suitable for a family trip.
