3-Star Hotels in Petropolis

Built in 1930, the hotel was reopened in 2011 after a 45 year hiatus. It's like the golden age of glamour in the lobby. Checked in promptly despite turning up 2 hours before the 3pm check in, which was very much appreciated. We were a party of 4, 2 rooms. Both rooms identical….spacious, clean, quality linens, VERY comfy bed, effective A/C unit (saving grace since it was 34C outside being summertime). Fast WiFi though a little annoying to have to login every few hours (I thought hotels had abolished this way of logging in a decade ago). Shower had excellent pressure (there's a clasp to alter the angle of the showerhead). We came by car and there's free parking with valet service which is very helpful and also very cheerful valet man who helped us with our bags too. Nice touch! Breakfast was simple and not anything to write home about though that is typical in Brazil. We're not really breakfast folk but enjoyed the coffee as a pick-me-up with a slice of toast and jam. I'd recommend to couples, folk on business and families alike, whether for an overnight stay or longer - has everything you would want and need. The Hotel is situated in the heart of Petropolis' historic centre so can walk everywhere within the historic town. Overall can only but give the hotel 5* and would certainly stay again if ever in the lovely town that is Petropolis. To the staff at Grande Hotel, keep up the great work!

The hotel is wonderful and offers the best of the day's facilities with the decoration and architecture of the season, in a perfect location for anyone who wants to know the main tourist points of the city walking. The staff are very educated and careful, cleaning is perfect and the wi-fi works very well throughout the hotel. Breakfast is excellent, with various options of bread, cake, cold, jelly, fruit, juices, milk and coffee, and served in a very beautiful location with side view of the Cathedral. The hotel's outermost part offers swimming pool, free parking for guests, exercise chairs and very nice and well-cared gardens.The room is very comfortable and features a couple with comfort, which was my case. It has a large box with available heads, fridge, headboard, chair and lighting, TV with excellent image and a variety of channels, large and soft bed and air conditioning. The bathroom is good, it has a pillow, with a hot and cold water tower and a good bathroom, a toilet with a toilet and a very good shower. I noticed only a delay to warm the water from the shower, but it didn't catch me at all. There are also some hairdryers to borrow, just ask at the reception. In the building I stayed there is an elevator. The trip was wonderful, I'll be back.

The hotel, although a little outside the centre of Petrópolis, is located in a high location with a beautiful panoramic view of the Gourmet polo Valparaiso, which is attractive because there are various gastronomic options in the region, with excellent bistros and nearby restaurants, including with delivery option at the hotel. The architecture of the hotel, built in metal structure, gives a light and modern view, with special emphasis on the large glassed façade, the interior panoramic elevator that runs all the huge right foot of the central hall and the restaurant, Where you can take the great breakfast served in the hotel, with a panoramic view of the valley. The accommodation is comfortable and clean, with excellent beds, good hot shower, hair dryer, supplied fridge, cable TV, wi-fi and a good set of facilities available. It is not a luxury hotel but it is modern, pleasant, quiet and functional. My wife and I have been very well-served in everything and we will probably be hosting again there. We recommend!

The castle is gorgeous but the rooms definitely reflect the age of the property. I stayed at the Suite da Torre (Tower suite) and it's one of the most interesting rooms I've ever stayed in with breathtaking views. The bathroom though has a constant sewage smell. The fist day we had left the windows ajar and door open and then in the next day the smell was nauseating. We had to keep the windows open to dissipate the smell. My sister also mentioned having the same smell in her room. I must note that to get to the room there is a very narrow spiral staircase so it might not be accessible for everyone. There is just one very slow elevator in the hotel so it takes a while at busy times. Staff was excellent and the grounds had several activities for kids and adults and also several options for dinning. The views of the grounds and surrounding are gorgeous. My niece had her wedding at the castle and it was like a fairy-tale.

My husband and I were hosted at the Hotel and Hostel Princess Izabel from 01 to 03/01/2024. We were received by Vinicius, very educated, gentle, performing, differentiated care, super nice collaborators, sympathetic, attentive, communicative, joyful, performing ... The girls in the kitchen and cleaning also wonderful. Surprising breakfast , well varied, hot and tasty cakes, delicious cheese bread, various types of bread, coffee machine, cappuccino and chocolate Three Hearts... simply perfect!!! The comfortable room, a huge bed, a flat bed and a tasteful pad, well structured, the only thing I missed, even I found inadmissible today, was the absence of a shower in the bathroom. I think it is essential, especially for us women. And as the water is ice, it could have in the bathroom hot water in the pia tower. The location is excellent, near the main tourist points of the city. We will return without doubt!! The hotel has a parking and 02 swimming pools. The reception always has free coffee and mineral water. We only have to thank you, it was all perfect!! We love the hostel!! We are already thinking of returning, because the city has many attractions and we haven't had the time to know everything: Carina's and Leandro's dear kiss.

Very well located hotel, near the Imperial Museum, the Lanchones and Shops, historical building, has received an excellent tasty decoration, with modern airs that talk with the old, without confusion. Room with comfortable bed and bed clothes, good size bed, great bed, great bathroom, could look more at toilet products like a way to enchante the client. The breakfast coffee environment is very beautiful and modern. the location where the swimming pool and the idem water baths are located. All very clean. Attentive staff. In front of the hotel has a taxi and parking point 24h. Also has a supermarket. The hotel has a bistro; pizza, but we didn't. The lift wasn't working, that was the only negative point for me. They could have warned us, because if I were with my mother, I wouldn't have to get up the stairs.

O hotel tem localização excelente, a melhor possível se vc quiser ficar próximo do centrinho de Itaipava, que era nosso caso. Dá para ir a pé a qualquer dos principais restaurantes do local. Trata-se de hotel com excelente custo/benefício. Atende ao que se propõe. Os quartos são espaçosos, a limpeza é perfeita, o arcondicionado novo e gelando e o atendimento ótimo. Café da manhã muito bom para o padrão. Não é sofisticado nem charmoso. É funcional, mas com ótima qualidade. Estacionamento no local sem custo.

Estávamos num grupo e ficamos muito preocupados com as última avaliações. Pensamos até em cancelar, mas como era não reembolsável decidimos arriscar. Ficamos todos muito surpresos positivamente. Os quartos são antigos, o mobiliário antigo, mas os quartos são muito bons, camas ótimas e confortáveis. Tudo muito limpo e organizado. O banheiro estava precisando de uma reforma, mas nada que tenha prejudicado a hospedagem. Toalhas boas e cheirosas. Água quentinha. Café da manhã muito bom e completo. O parquinhos tem uns brinquedos antigos, mas deu para usar. Mas os brinquedos são mais voltados para crianças menores. A atividade de aventura é paga a parte, mas não é caro e foi legal. A sala de jogos também precisa dar um renovada no totó, mas deu para usar. Área externa bonita e bem cuidada. Piscina estava limpinha e bonita. Enfim. Todos achamos que pelo valor valeu muito a pena e voltaria a me hospedar novamente.
