Great location, very clean room, excellent breakfast and drinks. The mattresses need to be replaced, they are not supportive. There are not refrigerators in the room. The carpets in the rooms need to be replaced, they are pretty filthy all over the hotel. We stayed here ~5 years ago, and remember sitting in the beautiful Rose Garden for drinks. It wasn't available when we were here Monday-Wednesday. Maybe it's only a weekend thing now? Sad it wasn't available during this trip.

I enjoyed three nights as well as three wonderful breakfasts. I was in room 402, which has been renovated since my last visit. Heat control is good and the room has a working gas fireplace. Also the room has a nice porch with a view of the Bay. I chose to include breakfast and found it to be tasty, with real maple syrup. The bed was good and a bit high. The service from everyone was great. I brought my bicycle into my room without any trouble. I noticed minor smoke from Canada that made the sunset a bit red.

This is our fifth visit to the Perry Hotel in the last three years. The location is fantastic conveniently walkable to downtown restaurants and shops. The view over the marina, pier and bay from the high perch of the hotel is superb, don’t miss the great sunsets on the bay from the outside garden or your balcony! The morning breakfast room has these same great views with its huge windows looking out over the bay. The $25 breakfast coupon per room pays mostly for your breakfasts each morning, an especially nice perk. Wait staff is super friendly and give fantastic service as do all staff at the hotel.
Looking forward to our sixth visit!

Always a wonderful stay
We went for a friends overnight stay in downtown Petoskey. We typically stay at The Perry Hotel as it is in walking distance to shops and dining. The Perry overlooking the Lake never disappoints.

Beautiful hotel, built in 1899 and maintained in excellent condition, near the water and just blocks away from Petoskey's shops and restaurants. We plan to stay here again the next time we travel to Petoskey.
