It’s about 10 min walk from the train station. The front desk gentleman was very welcoming and helpful. I arrived around noon time before the official check in and he offered an early check in with no hassle

Useful and clean stop off on a long journey on the A1. Lots of food options next door in the services. The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. My room was on the ground floor and I was worried about the traffic noise being so close to the A1M but I didn’t hear anything.

Set off on the right foot with a stay at the Premier Inn Hotel Peterborough (Hampton). You'll be just a few miles from all the city's business and leisure hot spots and well placed for exploring further afield too. Step back into the Elizabethan era at the grand Burghley House. Get in on the big events at Peterborough Arena and Showground. Nip next door to the Serpentine Green Shopping Centre. Or sample a proper pint or two at the Peterborough Beer Festival. Then, when it's time to put your feet up, head back to our tasty restaurant and big, comfy beds.

Firstly, I like this old hotel, it has some real character, the rooms are large and stylish but... A) the parking is now extra, and the advert should say so. B) the staff are clearly inexperienced - helpful yes - but you really shouldn't greet staff as 'mate' or bud,' it's just the wrong 2star tone. C) if the kitchen staff don't turn up to cook breakfast, yes a refund is great but 'sorry for the inconvenience,' is better. It shows you, as a member of staff are invested in the hotel. When there were issues with my rooms TV my room was instantly replaced to an equally stylish room, no issues with that kind of service. I don't blame the young staff, it's about leadership. I saw a review where someone complains about rats and beggers. City facts you're never far from a rat or poverty, you can't realistically blame a hotel that there's a rat in their car park or begging in front of their property, one is environmental and the other economical, and a police matter. (I've stayed in this hotel three times, it's always the same individual, and it's the same story every time, no one can lose their ticket that often) This is a 3 star hotel with memories of 4 stars, staff are helpful, friendly but inexperienced, lacking confidence and pride in their profession, leadership is needed and this could be easily turned around. But despite these issues I'd still rather stay here than a characterless travel lodge.

Likes: The price was eye catching. Location was around 20 minutes walk from the rail and bus station. 10-15 minutes walk to the main shopping area, restaurants, cathedral. Quiet location especially as my room faced the back of the hotel. No noise from other rooms on the floor. Room had basic tea / coffee making facilities. Not used, but there wa a microwave, plate / bowl, glass and cutlery for basic self catering in the room. WiFi worked well. Breakfast served from 05:00 - yes, that early! until 09:00 on a Sunday morning so presumably same for all other days. Was good size portion for the cooked breakfast. Cereals, toast, tea / coffee plus orange juice. Dislikes: · Whilst the room was low cost and for that the quality of the rooms, furnishing and bathroom was not exactly good. In need of redecoration, bathroom was in poor condition. Not particularly clean. The fridge in the room was running just to keep 6 x milk sticks for coffee / tea cold. I had to switch it off as it was very noisy when running.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, room was perfect, visual impairment awareness was spot on

Very friendly host that lives in , room had enough space with plenty of wardrobe space, best is probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in my life . Very laid back and easy to access with key lock if host not in . Location is easy enough once you found it first time Easy stay no hassle :)

We stayed here 2 nights from the 29th October. Everything about this place was very good. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was ver y clean and comfortable good nights sleep. The breakfast was really good with enough choice. If you wanted you could take good away little Brown bags provided. Even at evening time girl at reception told me to help myself to an not chocolate from the machine which was really good. We certainly would stay at any Holiday Inn express again. Thank you it was a lovely birthday stay .G
