The Parklands Hotel

Ratings for all except service based on website. rating on SERVICE based on experience for reasons entirely out of my control, I had to cancel my stay 24hrs beforehand. I called to let them know. I advised I had to cancel and the reply was (word for word) " ok , that's still chargeable". NO ' I'm sorry to hear that' NO "maybe we can find another date so you don't lose your money"... no ' we can't refund you but do you want a credit on account'. if I'd have phoned 12 hours earlier my money would have been refunded or I could have amended my booking. the blame was put on TRIP as I was told ' you booked through them and they wont help you. So I'll be avoiding this place when I go up for my trip, and I'd advise others to avoid places with staff as uninterested as here.

A pleasant small hotel on the edge of the city center in Perth. The room was comfortable and had a table with two chairs for seating. The breakfast was very good and served in an attractive dining area. Recommended

From my initial mistake of booking the wrong dates for a wedding I managed to still squeeze in and grab an amazing room. The Hotel was the shortest of walks from the train station which was a great advantage after a long journey up on the train. An amazingly warm welcome by my new friend who had sorted out my previous mistake we settled in and had dinner. The wizardry shown by the Chef in the lighter batter on my fish and chips was mind blowing. The food was so fresh, mushy peas and tartare sauce all freshly made. Breakfast had the best local produce on and the fresh black budding was along with the haggis the absolute icing on the cake! I can't recommend this hotel, the food and the amazing team that pull it all together highly enough.

Disappointing Stay at Parklands Hotel I recently stayed at Parklands Hotel for a friend's wedding, having booked it based on her recommendation for its convenient location. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, I was faced with the lack of assistance from the staff. I arrived with two large suitcases, a hand-carry, and three bags, and not a single staff member offered help. Given my injured lower back, this was particularly frustrating and disappointing for a boutique hotel. The check-in process was confusing, as the staff directed me to the welcome pack for instructions instead of providing clear verbal guidance. After a long drive, this was not user-friendly at all. When it came time to decide on breakfast, we were informed that we needed to make a decision on the spot, which was challenging given our recent arrival. The forms to fill out just to have breakfast felt excessive, so we opted out—unfortunate, as we had hoped to eat at the hotel for convenience before the wedding. We also decided to have dinner at the hotel. While the food was decent, the service was slow—understandable for a small hotel, but still frustrating. After requesting the menu, it took 20 minutes for the waitress to return to take our order. To add to our disappointment, we were unaware that housekeeping services needed to be requested. Returning to our room around 1:30 AM after the wedding, we found it uncleaned—trash was not emptied, and my friend had no fresh towels for a shower. This led to an uncomfortable night and poor rest. The next morning, we woke up around 9:30 AM, aware that check-out was at 11 AM. We requested a later check-out to freshen up, but the middle-aged brunette staff member we spoke to was unhelpful and a bit rude, insisting on charging us £25 per hour for the extra time. Her response lacked understanding, suggesting we should have read the rules more carefully. While we acknowledge some responsibility for not being aware of the policies, our collective experiences, particularly with the female staff, were disheartening. We believe that hotels are in the people business, and customer service should reflect that. We felt compelled to share our honest review to assist others in deciding whether Parklands Hotel is the right choice for them.

What a lovely surprise The hotel and staff were both lovely We booked for an overnight as had dinner reservations in perth that night So glad we did Our room was huge the friarton Bed was comfortable and obviously the bathroom had been recently renovated ro a very high standard Breakfast had to be pre ordered the night before which we are not that keen on but breakfast was lovely and very tasty quality of ingredients was high Would come back

Staff all absolutely amazing, no request nor question unanswered, friendly, attentive & professional. Mattress was perfect nights sleep, rates for the quality quite unbelievable. Shall definitely return . Beer garden views ... just WOW
