Stayed here yet again and for first time we're in Riverside apartments with river view. These were built over 20 years ago and are comfortable but in need of small upgrade due to carpets being worn, especially on stairs. It has a small lift,so can be used by wheelchairs. Now on to the food,as usual this is of a very high standard, and empty plates were evidence of this.I had steak main course on both nights, ribeye first night, well cooked and easily cut.On second night had sirloin well done, but after trying to carve had to ask for a steak knife as knife provided would not cut it,but it was tasty.Breakfast is a vast choice and easy to put to mutch on your plate as you go along the line of buffet dishes. This hotel is not cheap but we average 2 visits a year due to quality of food and hotels situation beside the Tay.

Wow, so not generally a great contributor in regard to reviews but felt this hotel warranted an extra shout out! Firstly the location and accommodation are fantastic, if you are looking to get away from it all but still need somewhere close to the central belt, this is the place. We stayed in the garden rooms, which are large, huge bed and gorgeous terraces over looking the River Tay. However the staff and the food are really stand out, we love our food and the tasting menu/meal we had was probably one of the best we have sampled. Thank you so much and a special thanks to the fantastic Jamaal (front of house) for his recommendations and service (as always, much appreciated). We look forward to returning..

We booked this hotel for 5 nights we had visited this hotel about 10 years ago and enjoyed so much we had to go back again and it didn't disappoint. Our room was in the Riverside the only negative thing I would say it would do will an update, although the room was spotlessly clean and bed very comfortable a wee update is needed. We had booked to eat at the hotel restaurant on 3 nights of our stay we enjoyed it so much we booked a further evening it was well presented and very tasty. Our breakfasts each morning was very good a buffet style but everything was warm and a good range of choices. All the staff were extremely friendly and they were very helpful and pleasant.

I am writing this review about a month after we had a dinner to raise a glass in honour of my mother with my brothers and father. i emailed to explain this . We used to come as a family and my mum had purchased stay for family members on special occasions. i hadn’t been for a while so read reviews which seemed fairly favourable. I firstly found the lack of interest that it was a special night for us and we’d been regulars interesting but we were firstly invited into bar for a drink then whisked out straight to table. we arrived early to sit and relax and spend time as a family. We could have been shown to the drawing room to have drinks. There was no thought only slight panic as to where to put us. We had a lovely table which was nice and the service seemed quite efficient and welcoming. Drinks orders were taken and we chose our meals. The homemade bread tasty. The amuse bouche salty and thick. My father and I had pressed chicken with chicken liver mousse i think it was described…. it was tasteless and honestly like a bad dogs dinner. My father didn’t say much about his but didn’t eat… His chicken main course hadn’t been brushed with morels let alone cooked with them. He left the dish and i tried to get attention to complain… i could see the waitress look at his plate…. it wasn’t touched at all but no one asked at all how meal was and having worked in catering with my mother we wouldn’t have dreamt of taking a full plate back ( not that we ever had to!) my bother had steak at a surcharge… i’ve seen a better thickness of soles on shoes. . my other brother and i had fish … They name the supplier as fish of creiff…. Willie Little has wonderful fish…. and they ruined it…. soggy skin served top of fish also… my Cheese and biscuits were lovely.. but didn’t require cooking ! as was the homemade bread… but the rest of the meal was atrocious. we waited and waited to have our coffee served. we waited in freezing room and i sent to find some staff… i eventually found a you d helpful chap on his phone in an empty dining room and our order had been forgotten. I mentioned especially that my father’s meal was dry and inedible. Quite rightly he asked why i hadn’t complained at table… We had no real opportunity as staff were pretty scarce. Also it was a very sensitive evening which if anyone had cared to bother about email they’d have known. i hosted the table so found someone discreetly to complain and was made to feel like it was my fault i hadn’t caused a scene. I had to find someone to pay the bill and god only knows why I left a very decent tip !

Very nice hotel set in beautiful grounds with woodland and riverside walks. Riverside rooms are good size, comfortable and ground floor rooms have patio leading straight onto grassy area which is perfect if travelling with a dog. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice although we chose not to eat at the hotel in the evening - 2 rosette restaurant equates to quite ‘fancy’ foods, small portions and high prices, but other reviews do state that the food is lovely. All staff (with exception of one rude waitress) were lovely, friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel provides a good base for exploring Perthshire.

Oh dear! I paid £114 for an old-fashioned single room that was so small I had to move furniture around to get into bed. The bathroom was minute. There are instructions not to turn off the bathroom radiator, which was very hot, so I had to drape a towel around it to stop being potentially burned by it when going to the loo in the night. Loads of stairs to the first floor and no lift so lugging my suitcase upstairs was a major undertaking. The public rooms are pleasant and the garden is nice, looking out over the River Tay, although the first floor landing is full of stuffed dead animals and birds which turns the stomach a bit. I had an excellent, if expensive, two course supper from a limited menu. The breakfast was OK. The staff were, as always in Scotland, friendly and helpful. But I won't stay here again and pay so much for such a dreary room.

Once again, we were made very welcome at this Lovely Hotel with it's fantastic grounds and walks along the River Tay. Our accommodation (The River Suite) was on the ground floor with it own patio area overlooking the River. The rooms were very comfortable and it had a lovely kitchen area, with a nice drinks fridge. The food was excellent as always and the service amazing. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. A special thanks to JAY for his great service and wonderful banter and the Chef who catered for our every need, including my Brother-in-Law's eating habits (Mr meat and 2 veg without sauce, butter or milk). Also a thank you to the other clients we met and who's company we enjoyed. Thank you ALL. We look forward to our next visit.
