I previously reviewed the Infinity Blu on 5 Aug 2018 & 18 May 2019 and would have written another in 2020 but for cancelation as the result of Covid. We tried to book a return visit last year but the non-availability of vacancies for the dates we had available shows just how popular the hotel is. We returned home yesterday after a weeks stay, many of the guests we spoke to were regulars there. If you expect fluffy slippers, a robe, bathroom towels folded into shapes and evening entertainment etc you'll be disappointed. You will find a small (fifty bed) adults only hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere and staff who I can't praise highly enough will always go out of their way to serve you with a smile, our Room Attendant has worked there for over twenty years. The extensive and varied menus on offer will add inches to your waistline. You'll never have an issue finding a sunbed in a spot of your choosing as there must be twice as many as there are guests. The pool is small but adequate and the beach is right at the bottom of the grounds, I'll comment further on that later. For me, as someone who doesn't like sand, the sun loungers away from the pool are on grass and the beach bar's open 10am to 6pm. If you suffer from mobility issues please be aware that the access to the toilets from the pool area is down a long flight of steps, likewise from the dining room/lounge but here they can be easily reached via the lift. Of an evening we invariably took a stroll to Protaras and back, about a mile each way, along the shoreline boardwalk that started at the bottom of the road. Since our last visit this has been extended in the opposite direction for the best part of a mile and is very popular and equally enjoyable. (To facilitate this the hotel has had to lose some of its grassed sunbathing area where once you only had a gentle slope then three or four wooden steps to reach the beach, now you have to cross the boardwalk and either negotiate a flight of concrete steps or use a ramp.) The use of the provided umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach itself come at a cost as are hired out by the Local Authority. If you seek a quiet, relaxing experience with great service you need look no further but we may be ahead of you in the queue.
