Upon arrival in Lisbon, we drove straight to Peniche and discovered this beautiful little B&B. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast and common areas were great. The breakfast is prepared from scratch and throughout our stay, all of the staff was so accommodating.

Had a lovely room with private bathroom. Was very quiet. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. The fresh oranges are AMAZING!!! Quiet area. Good base for day trips further afield.

The Mercearia d’Algeria has an upscale beach surf house vibe. It’s perfect for families as well as couples. Spotlessly clean rooms; unique and European beachy. The room was very comfortable and quiet. There’s a roof top picnic table and seating area which was great for lunch. A multi course breakfast is made to order in the family style dining area. I believe It was originally the owner’s grandparents home and grocery. The decor reflects the heritage and is very tasteful. They have bikes and lots of beach stuff to borrow and parking was easy, on the street. Peniche is a great, picturesque beach town with lots of walkability. The staff were extremely nice and helpful with recommendations. I would highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is utterly charming, immaculately clean, and the staff is as kind and helpful as you could imagine. An example would be the fact that one employee reheated our leftovers, set the table and did the dishes for our noon meal. It is so beautifully appointed, with common spaces inside and out that are welcome and inviting. The breakfast is superb. This gem is as nice a place as I’ve ever stayed. Even the candies at the reception were fantastic. Flawless!

2 nachtjes geboekt op onze reis door Portugal. Heerlijk om hier te verblijven. Kamers zijn superschoon. Het ontbijt is van grote klasse. Alles wordt vers gemaakt door de lieve beheerster. Op loopafstand van strand en stad. Vandaag gebruik gemaakt van de gratis fietsen van de B&B en een mooi rondje rondom Peniche gefietst. Echt een prachtig plekje
