The service in Bhutan is actually quite good, but this Le Méridien is very frustrating. When I arrived, no one helped me with my luggage. I went to the front desk last night to reserve a take away breakfast for this morning, but when I went in the morning, they said it was not available and asked me to wait. I couldn't wait even if I had an early flight. 😅 The service is far worse than other hotels in Bhutan.

We had one of our best hotel stays at Paro. All the staff were amazing. Front office staff miss Zim and Mr Depan ensured that all our needs were met and welcomed us to the hotel. Chef Rastogi deserves a special mention. He made our stay so special and we felt like we were eating at home. No request was too much and he ensured we were looked after well. Due to the high level of hospitality and care we didn’t find the need to eat out in the evenings. Produce was fresh and tasty! Also our guide for the 3 days, Tshewang Penjos known as Tee Pee was absolutely amazing. He was particularly knowledgeable on all Bhutan life, religion and the country and we were very impressed. He ensured we were well prepared for our hike to Tigers Nest and without his encouragement and support, I would not have made the journey. I highly recommend Tee Pee to any traveller and offer my greatest thank you to him. We will definitely return to Bhutan. It’s the place to unwind and forget about the stresses of life..

I frequently travel to Bhutan for Business purposes 2-3 times a year and I’ve always stayed in the Le Meridian Paro ,the staff is very courteous and the hotel has an excellent view and approach to the river , feels very much like a resort close to the airport Thier staff also helped me a lot to wear the Gho whenever I need to get ready during my last visit Ugen who actually new here was very helpful , Dawa and actually all the staff is very kind

Our stay at Le Meridien Paro for 5 nights was nothing less than magical. The location of the hotel is truly exceptional — embraced by majestic mountains on all sides, with the serene Paro River flowing alongside, adding to the natural beauty and peaceful ambiance. The setting makes it a perfect retreat for anyone seeking both luxury and tranquility. As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member, I was delighted to receive an upgrade to the Grand Deluxe room, which was the cherry on top of an already wonderful experience. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered breathtaking views that enhanced the overall stay.

This is a stunning property located, as the name says, by the river. From your room you can see the hills around and listen to the river flow past. It's only 10 minutes from the airport so very convenient if you've had a tiring flight. The staff are amazing. They were so caring and made sure everything was perfect. A special thank you to Tashi Tobgay, Kuenzang Dena, and Bishan in the "Latest Recipe" restaurant for the wonderful service that went above and beyond! We'll definitely start and end every trip to Bhutan with a stay at this beautiful hotel!
