GGuest UserLocated in Hita-cho, Hita, it is known as Kyushu-Kyoto, and you can see the hometown of Ogata-yaki (on the mountain, there is a direct bus at Hita Station, and the shuttle bus is not much to see the timetable). The hotel is very refined and there is a public hot spring in the city. There is also a small deer field burning and some tea sold in the common room. A lot of Zen calligraphy. There is a very handsome little brother, who is very slippery in English and has spent 5 years in the United States. On the edge are ancient buildings and a winery. There is also a Sumiyoshi tea house, a very sizzling tavern that opens in the evening and is delicious. It is also delicious early. My little brother also drove us to the station, thank you very much!
KkenThis was the most stunning place we stayed during our 12-day trip, a true secluded gem nestled deep in the mountains. Upon arrival at the parking lot, we noted there were only a handful of cars, perhaps ten at most. A dedicated staff member was immediately on hand to assist with our luggage. The attention to detail was evident even in the lobby, where staff were seen meticulously cleaning luggage wheels. The decor was luxurious and authentically Japanese. They even have a pillow room for guests to choose their preferred pillow. Our stay included dinner and breakfast, featuring exquisite Kaiseki cuisine. A dedicated server meticulously explained each ingredient, and the meal was served over a leisurely hour and a half, allowing us to fully savor every dish. The service was impeccable. Our children absolutely loved their stay. This hotel is Michelin-recommended and definitely worth a return visit.
SssongibrotherThis is a hotel with a long history, so it is old, but the room condition is good. The view of the Mikuma River was even better, and the staff was very friendly. Bicycles are available for free rental, and the food is good. The large bath and open-air bath are small, but considering the age, I guess it can't be helped. It is located along the Mikuma River, so it is a bit far from Hita Station or Mamedamachi. I had a good rest and left.
AAnonymous UserIt's old, but it's been cleaned nicely.
The light next to the bed was flickering, and I wish they'd changed the bulb.
The front desk staff were very helpful, and they always greeted me when I left and when I returned, which was reassuring.
A simple breakfast was provided free of charge, but I didn't have it, so I can't rate it.
One thing that bothered me was that the walls were thin, and I could hear the snoring from the next room. While snoring is unavoidable, I was unhappy that they assigned rooms so close together, even though there were clearly many empty rooms. Wouldn't it have been better if they'd left a gap between rooms? It would be understandable if the hotel was full, but that wasn't the case.
GGuest UserThe next day, the family bath that can be used as a coin is really awesome.. You can also use an open-air hot spring, but after staying, you can even have a private hot spring! The hot spring was hot, so even if I sat a little, I sweated and it was cold because it rained, but after taking the hot spring, I felt warm enough to feel the cold. It's a superb view and the price is very good. If you visit Hita again, you'll want to visit again!
AAENNAThe service was impeccable. Soo soo much food and it was really good too for the price you pay. The baths were great but really weird arrangement that the women only get access to the outdoor bath for 3 hours a day in the morning. So be sure to allocate time for that if you wanna try out the advertised outdoor bath. It is smaller than depicted in pictures though.
