Grandvrio hotel has an amazing indoor and outdoor onsen that is a must try. The buffet has a wide selection of alcohol drink which is the highlight. There is a gift shop I will strongly advise you to buy as it’s cheaper than the tourist shops. Shuttle bus is once every half hour to train station. Overall it’s a good stay.

The evening buffet had a wide variety of food, and beer and wine were all-you-can-drink. Pancakes ordered in the morning were also included. The hosts at this Ryoken are so welcoming, friendly and helpful! They picked us up from the ferry terminal when we arrived and dropped us back there on departure. This was crucial as we would have otherwise struggled with our suitcases up the hills and through the labyrinth of small streets! The location is a little bit away from the central area, but that is what we wanted. It was so peaceful at night, the deer wandered past our the front as we relaxed in the open air footpath. The food was nothing short of excellent. They specialise in seafood dishes so if you have an allergy it would be important to let the hosts know before you arrive. The rooms were simply and elegantly appointed: we had everything we needed. The onsen onsite was fantastic! After a long day of walking we felt very relaxed afterwards. The open-air bath on the room was very good. There is also a large communal bath on the 9th floor. The scenery is very good, so we recommend the 5th and higher floors.

The location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Mt. Misen Ropeway station. There is a free shuttle bus station right outside the hotel to go the ropeway station. You can see the Torii throughout the hotel window. At night when the Torii with lights on, the view is stunning! The indoor onsen is not big but it's ok for 10+ people at the same time, the outside onsen is small and can only occupies 4-5ppl. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and thoughtful. I was fully wet after the hiking to Mt. Mismen on the raining day, they helped me to dry all my shoes and coat. Happy to stay at Iwaso and will definitely stay again.

We are one berth and two meals, and the food level is OK. The hotel is a bit old overall, but most of it is well maintained. Loan cutting wind is relatively shabby, cheap, and even a bit dirty. It is not recommended to take a loan to cut wind. The big bath is bigger and cleaner.
