I wanted a hotel close to where my brother and his wife was staying. Apparently this hotel is only 3 star, but I can honestly say the bed was really comfortable, and the pillows are some of the best I’ve ever slept on. Breakfast is very simple but more than ample, with great coffee, and the staff were all absolutely lovely
I got a very lovely balcony room. The location is very good, they have the metro station at front of the hotel. I very enjoyed to stay here during my trips. The breakfast is good. Important thing is the hotel have air conditioning.
By the way, the hotel is quite small with tiny elevator. You need to carry your suitcase pass the stairs one floor before get the elevator.
I don't really like the environment and layout of this hotel. There is no table except the coffee table in the room, and there is no place to put luggage. The toilet and bath are separated. The toilet is next to the entrance door. It is a sliding door but there is a gap. The shower curtain can only be separated from the bed and cannot be completely private. If someone walks from the bed to the door to use the toilet, they can see you taking a shower. There was no place to put clothes in the shower, so I moved a small stool beside the bed to put them there. The windows and doors can be opened and the head can be stretched out, but it is not a balcony. I don't know how the air conditioner in the room works. It's very cold as soon as it is turned on, and it doesn't work even if it is turned down. It happened to rain that night and it was a bit cool, and it was quite boring without driving.
Breakfast was average. There was a clerk who was very friendly but didn't understand English very well. There are not many choices to eat, basically just croissants, Danish bread and some yogurt. Might as well go out to eat.
For the price in the center of Paris, this is probably the price. I don't want to stay here again.
However, the subway is not far away. There are also Love supermarkets and some fruit breakfast restaurants nearby. I heard that it is a residential area. There is a Vietnamese noodle shop not far away that is open late. Although the store is small, the waiter can speak Chinese, English and French. You can dine in or take away. If you are staying here, you can try it.
When I checked in, there was a female service staff with a very good attitude and very friendly. I can say that the whole process was very pleasant. I arrived at 12 noon, and it was not possible to complete the check-in procedures according to the rules. However, after she asked me to wait for 10 minutes, she told me that I could check in early and there was no need to charge any fees. I was very touched. However, in the evening, there was another colleague on duty. His attitude was not so good. During the visit of my friend, there was a lot of misunderstanding. It was a bit unclear. It was not until the next day that another male colleague was replaced. It felt that the communication level was tested a lot. When I told him that there was an ”unexpected” friend visiting, he helped me check whether it was possible to upgrade the room to a double room without saying a word. Although it did not take effect immediately, I successfully upgraded it on the third night of the three-night stay. Although I still paid the difference, the whole process was at least very smooth and his service attitude was also very good. On the last day when we were leaving, he even asked us to put our luggage in the afternoon and pick it up before leaving. We did not feel uncomfortable during the whole process. In comparison, the attitude of the colleagues on the night shift needs to be improved.
I've had two stays at Hotel Mistral now, one with my family and another on my own. I was extremely satisfied with its prime location and excellent service, and I believe it's perfectly suited for solo travelers. The breakfast was absolutely superb, surprisingly so for a 3-star hotel. I highly recommend it for a stay in Paris!

The main thing is that the location is excellent, just opposite the Montparnasse train station, which is suitable for those who need to catch a train early the next morning.
The facilities are relatively simple, and you need to bring your own slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste. The elevator is very small, and the room is not very soundproof, and you can hear the conversation of the guests next door. The staff's attitude is not bad. In general, it is suitable for sleeping one night before taking an early train.
The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff was always smiling and helpful. It was very close to the train station(2,3min)and three Chinese restaurants around. We were there for sightseeing.
The major museums were accessible from the hotel in about 30 minutes to an hour. Transferring to the TGV from Montparnasse station was also convenient.
I would use the hotel again next time I visit Paris.
A good experience overall:
✅ Well located and easy to get to the center by subway
✅ Nice decoration, well maintained and clean
❌The Wifi didn't work for us and the reception response was, well, it did for me. OK, well, it didn't for me, 0 solutions
❌ The rooms are quite small

Pas confortable cette nuit d 'hôtel en ayant froid c'est pas normal , le personnel à l'acceuil sans réponse !

GGuest UserSmall shop, like joining. Staff service is very good.
I need to live in Montparnasse for work reasons. In Paris, this is a good choice. No matter how picky, it is not understandable.

GGeizijisongbangThe hotel is 9 minutes away from Line 4 and 5 minutes away from T2a light rail. It is convenient for travel and quiet in a busy city. It is just a little far from commercial facilities, about 5 minutes. The hotel services, facilities and prices are consistent. Good value for money!

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is awesome, you can go to many important locations on foot. There are also many restaurants and small markets nearby, so whatever the time of day and night, you can have access to food!
As well, in addition to have the Montparnasse train station less than 10 min away on foot, the metro is very close-by, which helped us to get to other parts of the city before getting to the airport.
The rooms are good, indeed very well sound proofed, clean and spacious.
When it comes to the service, it was ok, but few in the staff showed some friendly, welcoming traits ... they mostly looked disheartened.
GGuest UserA perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality!
This hotel offers spacious, well-appointed rooms with modern amenities to ensure a relaxing stay. Guests will enjoy friendly, attentive service, a variety of dining options, and excellent facilities

GGuest UserVery recommended!
I was worried about the safety of going abroad, and I felt much more secure after living here! The hotel staff is very nice, there will be no racial discrimination or other bad attitudes at all
The hotel environment is very good, clean and soundproof, you can write requirements when booking, such as quiet, high floors, etc.
In short, it is very recommended and the price is very good.
CCcccccpThe hotel is super convenient! Right next to train station and multiple metro stations and crepes cafe as well. I was able to store my luggage for a day. And the hotel has lift access I would recommend this for solo traveler
AAppleKWe had a wonderful experience staying in Hotel Virgina. The hotel staff were very helpful and polite. We were able to check-in early and left the luggage (locked safely) after we checked out so that we could visit Paris before our night Eurostar. Great location not far from the metro station, next to a supermarket, bakery, same metro line as Eurostar no change needed very convenient.
