Hotels near Lac des Minimes, Paris

I have stayed here many times. The room is very clean, the kitchenette is very practical, and the transportation is quite convenient. The gym has been under repair for a long time and should be open now. The only thing I don't understand is the water purifier, which is just for display and can't be used in every room.

It was really a budget hotel, very clean and quiet, Wi-Fi was very good though Communication was a usually a barrier generally for the English and French speaking everywhere In France. Otherwise, overall, it’s a nice place to be with great staff willing to help at every point of need. Definitely a recommendable place that I would visit again.

The hotel is great. The receptions with the large terrace are very pleasant. The staff is attentive and the breakfast is excellent. The rooms have an incredible view. I recommend booking a room on a high floor. Some rooms are small but very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay.

We stayed here in June 2024 for 4 nights as our base for a first visit to Paris. Upon arrivial on our first day, we found the reception door locked, even though it was during reception hours, but a quick buzz on the intercom and we were let in and greeted by a friendly lady. We had a truly terrifying moment when she could not find our booking (we had taken a print out of our confirmation) either with the confirmation number or the name of the booking, thankfully though she found it eventually! In terms of the room, we were on the second floor, with a view out over to the river and as others have said the road too. We found no issues with road noise, in fact, despite being able to see it, we could not really hear it from inside the room. Granted we kept the window closed the whole time, but that was because the Air conditioning unit, did a perfect job of keeping the room at an ok temperature. Our room was clean and the facilities in the appartment, were as we hoped and expected. We had a microwave, a fridge with an ice box, two hobs and plenty of plates, bowls, cups, glasses and cutlery for the two of us. There was also a chopping board, a bread knife and bottle opener, alongside washing up liquid, a tea towel and a sponge. It was a slight shame not to be in a position to eat together, we had two chairs and a table and a desk, but we had to each sit and eat at one on our own. There was a wardrobe in the room, with plenty of space and coat hangers. The bed was comfy and there were two spare pillows in the wardrobe, which was a nice touch. My only slight criticism is although the bedding was clean, it had seen better days. There was a tear down the side of the duvet and a few questionable stains, that could have benefited from a hot wash and some stain remover. They weren't dirty but they could have looked better. The bathroom was a good space, the shower worked fine, the toiletries were fine and we had spare toilet roll in the bathroom cupboard. I couldn't get the heated towel rail to work but that was the only bathroom issue. I really liked that there was a closeable door between the living space and the hallway leading to the bathroom and main door. It meant you had a bit more of a noise blocker to the hallway and that if someone got up in the middle of the night, the bathroom light did not dominate the whole room. For those in other reviews who state this is in a poor location, we did not find that at all! RER Line E, is a 5 minute walk away and RER Line A is a 15 minute walk away. The trains are regular and we explorded pretty much the whole of Paris from here! We went to Notre Dame, Les invalides, Eiffel tower, Arc de triomphe, Champs d'elysee, Eglise saint Eustasche, Opera House, Louvre, Saint chapelle and Sacre coeur! All from those two lines as our starting point. If your willing to walk a short distance, it's really not an issue at all! The room was very clean and the bed was very close. I was really good at night. What is really good this that there is double door between the room and the corridor for a maximum of quietness.

I regularly stay at the Aparthotel Adagio in Maisons Alfort because it is on line Metro 8, with easy access to many areas and key sights in Paris. The staff are really excellent - professional, friendly, organized and just wonderful overall! The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. There is no noise from the street so you can always sleep soundly and the wifi works very well. I'm always pleased with this hotel and recommend it for excellent value/quality ratio. They also take good measures to make sure they reduce waste and save energy (while keeping guests comfortable), which is important to me.

Considering the price, I did not expect much, but the hotel proved to be not to bad at all. The staff at the reception was absolutely friendly and the hotel was clean. Also, the rooms were clean. I thought that I had to bring my own toweld and take care of my own bedding, but this was not the case (I might have been given an upgraded room?). What was especially convenient was the possability to use one of the microwaves and to use the drinking water which saved me from buying bottles. With the microwave I made my evening tea. I was initially concerned with the absence of airconditioning, but this was not a problem at all. It was about 25 degree during the day, and it was possible to leave open the window at night. Public transport is nearby (but is not accessable for wheelchairs, strollers etc).

The room was very neat and well kept. The lighting looked very pretty and it was very good room for a budget hotel. I was completely satisfied with the experience. The room was also cleaned every day which was very good. It also had air conditioning that was excellent as Paris was very hot during my stay. It was located next to a shopping centre(Bercy 2) this was very convenient for me as I was able to get all that was needed inside there. The staff were okay. They were a bit passive aggressive but they did help. I didn’t hear of this 50 euros deposit which I was afraid of when booking this hotel. Instead I paid 4.02 euros as city tax which is understandable as I am staying in Paris. There was also a wonderful pizza shop which was shared with a bakery down the road from the hotel which had amazing pizza and great customer service. Even though the man couldn’t speak any English he was very pleasant. In terms of location, this hotel has a very good public transportation connections with bus stops within walking distance of the hotel which take you to the metro and the metro can take you across Paris. French public transportation was very easy to use and inexpensive. Even though, I felt some passive aggression in my time in France(which I believe is how french people are), I was completely satisfied with my experience and would recommend to people on a budget looking for hotels in Paris with good transportation connections.

Yes, rooms are very small by US standards, smaller than the smallest room I saw at the College Park (Atlanta Airport) Econo Lodge. However, they are twice as big as what they call “single rooms” in London’s budget hotels, which are half way between the traditional English phone booth and a small US closet, where you sleep in a tiny 90 centimeters army cot WITHOUT AC for the price you pay at the Los Angeles LAX Sheraton! At this CHOICE COMFORT HOTEL PORTE D’IVRY at least, you will sleep in a double bed in a small but clean room WITH AC, tiny desk and phone, and a full bath with the biggest shower (3 times bigger) that I’ve ever seen in Europe, together with the one of room 823 at the Orly Best Western Plus, which is the same size. It also has a sink with a hair dryer and a private “wishing well”, the greatest invention of mankind… Those amenities such as a big refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board that I always see in all CHOICE HOTELS (whether Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Clarion, etc.) in the US for around $100 with buffet breakfast included, are just a dream in Europe, so forget about it! I’ll say the same about the ice machine, which we find even in cheapest motels, and sometimes on every floor in high-end hotels like the Clarion. Forget it! The only place where I have seen an ice machine outside of the US was at the Gran Hotel Argentino in Buenos Aires, after I harassed the manager during more than seven years asking for it during every trip in the 1990s! THE MAIN ASSET of this Comfort Hotel Porte d’Ivry is its LOCATION. A short 4 blocks walk will put you at “Porte d’Ivry”, where you will see the terminal of bus 27 to go to “Quartier Latin”, “Notre-Dame”, “Opéra” and “Gare Saint-Lazare”, and also the terminal of bus 83, which will take you to “Port Royal” and “Sèvres-Babylone”. At the same “Porte d’Ivry”, you will also see the “Métro” (subway) line 7 going from “La Courneuve” in the north of Paris to “Mairie d’Ivry” in the south. If you enjoy traveling underground, this line will take you straight to “Chatelet” and “Opéra”. But I prefer to do that journey with bus 27. Last but not least, at that “Porte d’Ivry”, you will be able to take TRAM 3a, which circles Paris on the south and will take you from “Pont du Garigliano” on the west, to “Porte de Vincennes” on the east, where you will be able to take TRAM 3b, which circles Paris on the north side, and will take you to “Porte de la Chapelle”, where you will be able to take bus 350 to Roissy CDG. And if you fly to Orly, as I do with Iberia via Madrid, now that American Airlines have discontinued their nonstop flights 62 and 63 between Miami and Paris, then you can take the ORLYBUS and get off at the first stop in Paris, by my beloved Cité Universitaire, where I lived the best five years of my long life in the 1960s, then walk a block to “Montsouris” and take TRAM 3a to “Porte d’Ivy”, only six stations away.
