I stayed at this hotel in December 2024 and it was a really disappointing experience. The rooms were extremely small, the staff unfriendly and worst of all, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. It did not correspond at all to the price paid. Without a doubt, one of the worst hotels I have stayed in on my trips to Paris. I would not recommend it at all, as there are many better options in the city with much more adequate service.

Initially, we chose this hotel because it was right next to the public transport and I assure you that this is absolutely true! The service at the reception was okay, the night gentleman was quite polite, the 2 older ladies, as well as a girl who was there early in the morning on our departure on 12/01. The hotel was literally spotless from lobby, elevator, rooms, etc. Always warm space, water, etc. The negatives I have only concern the room, i.e. the size of the room which applies to what they say that the rooms are very narrow-small. Also, well done for the renovation they did in the rooms but unfortunately not complete. This means that the entrance door to the room-WC was peeling at the bottom, the bedside table was peeling at one point. As for room amenities, there is no kettle etc., on the contrary, there is only complimentary coffee/tea in the reception area from the machine they provide you there.

My best friend and I had a wonderful weekend stay at Hotel Alexandrine. The location is perfect—close to two metro stops and just 15 minutes from the Palais Garnier and Galeries Lafayette. The area felt very safe, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They even upgraded us to a room with a balcony, which made my best friend’s birthday extra special. The hotel has a charming, authentic Parisian feel, and the price is unbeatable for such a central location. We loved it so much, we’ve already booked to return for another celebration! Highly recommend!

Amazing location and cute balcony
Such a good location really close to lots of metro stations and about a 15 walk to the Sacre Coeur. We got the twin room with the balcony on the 5th floor so it was a very pretty room. I asked before hand for the balcony so I was very happy when we got it. The room is small but we didn't spend much time there so was perfect for the long weekend.

This is a difficult review to write...
Firstly, the staff were amazing! They knew my name and were incredibly friendly, always greeting the other guests. Probably the best staff I have encountered in a hotel, especially in Paris.
The rooms were okay, probably not quite as good as the images made out and they were very noisy - you could hear every noise from other rooms, the corridor etc.
My biggest issue was, and it came after a 100km cycle ride when I was tired, the key to my room would not work. Whilst the staff tried to help, the key would just not open the door and their solution was that I sleep on the sofa in another hotel's reception. Really?! This place is not cheap (maybe cheaper by Paris standards) but to pay for a hotel room and sleep in reception is not really what I was hoping for.
Eventually, Regis was extremely helpful and managed to force the lock open which I was thankful for but this took over two hours and I finally got in at almost 2am!
I cannot fault the hotel, let me stress that, but I cannot help look back negatively at the key situation.
