Excellent value. Great location, ~350 meters from Gare de Lyon, with delicious restaurants nearby, and a metro station nearby. The atmosphere is super pleasant, with a spacious room and bathroom, comfortable and clean bedding and towels. Friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely be back!

While this hotel has some old world French charm, it comes with a lot of difficulties that are typical of hotels of this vintage. The room was tired and dated. The fabric wallpaper was old and very worn in places, the curtain was torn and visibly stitched and a large tile had dislodged from the shower surround. The shower bath, although modern, was very awkward. It had a small glass screen and flooded all over the bathroom floor and into the bedroom. There was no fridge and no iron/ironing board in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was conveniently close to Gare de Lyon station, but overall it was a very uncomfortable stay that was bearable only because it was for one night.

BED BUGS! DO NOT STAY HERE
I stayed here for just one night on a business trip to Paris. I was eaten alive by bed bugs, bites all over my arms, neck and back. I emailed the hotel asking for a refund and to ensure that they deep cleaned that room, but the hotel never responded to me.
Do not stay in room 205! In fact do not stay here at all. It is UNCLEAN AND UNSAFE. I have travelled widely and for many years but have never experienced anything like this. This is definitely not a "three star hotel".
I want my money back.

J'ai passé deux nuits au mois de juillet dans cet hôtel. Les points forts: proximité avec la gare (utile si vous devez partir tôt/ arriver tard), le beau cadre (immeuble de style avec un petit balcon à l'étage où j'étais), literie correcte, salle du petit déjeuner agréable, personnel sympathique. Il y a néanmoins quelques manques dans les équipements: pas assez de prises électriques dans la chambre, insonorisation pas au top envers la rue (impossible de dormir sans bouchons d'oreilles), pas de support pour ses produits dans le douche. Il faut aussi savoir que l'ascenseur est petit (deux personnes avec deux grandes valises ne passent pas) et ne va pas au 7e étage). Le check-in est annoncé dès 15h. Arrivant à l'hôtel peu avant cet horaire, deux clients étaient au check-in. On s'est ensuite occupé de moi. Dans les couloirs j'ai vu les femmes de ménage (j'ai trouvé ça bizarre vu que 15h est justement l'horaire à partir duquel les clients peuvent arriver dans leur chambre..). À peine entrée dans ma chambre une des femmes de ménages est entrée pour faire le nettoyage de la chambre donc je suis rapidement sortie. Elle fait son job, aucun souci et la dame a été très correcte. Mais il y a un manque de communication entre la réception et l'équipe de ménage, par exemple s'il y a du retard pour le check-in en raison du nettoyage dans les chambres. Dans ces circonstances la réception doit être au courant et ne pas donner sa carte de chambre au client comme si de rien n'était, pour qu'il ne puisse pas entrer dans sa chambre. À cause de cet incident je ne peux que donner une note moyenne.

The 12e is not a part of Paris troubled much by tourists, and we were keen to explore this area; the Viator was great for that. A five minute walk from Gare de Lyon, with some great cafes and restaurants nearby. Room 703 at the very top (the wee window in the grey mansard roof at the front of the building) was quiet, comfortable, with a big en-suite bathroom that even had a view of the Colonne de Juillet at Bastille and an actual bath (quite rare in Paris.) The bed was comfortable with a firm mattress, a kettle (also rare) and teabags. And the reception desk couldn't have been more helpful when we needed a corkscrew, glasses, to leave our luggage etc. We were there in a massive heatwave and the temperature didn't drop below 35 most days, so not surprisingly the aircon (very efficient) sprung a leak in the bathroom on day three, but apart from that, it was a great stay. An excellent base to discover hidden parts of Paris near Bercy, the old wine district, the Promenade Plantee, the Aligre market etc. and close to the river for strolls.

L'Hôtel , à 3 pas de la gare de Lyon , est bien placé.Chambre calme et assez spacieuse pour Paris.Literie confortable.Salle de bain propre.Un air rétro lui donne un petit charme .Accueil avec un sourire.Le plateau thé, café, et bouilloire est un plus pour une détente entre deux balades.
