Avalon Hotel Paris Gare du Nord

The room is very dark. The view is terrible, it's of a building wall, and the air conditioning units below are very loud in the evening. When you wake up in the morning, you don't know if it's light or still night. The room appears superficially clean if you don't touch anything. The whole hotel somehow seemed to be undergoing renovations. It's very thin, and the doors are half-broken. There are two TVs in the room without a door between them, which is quite illogical for a few square meters. The staff, however, is very nice. We received a message one day later at 12:17 p.m. in response to our criticism of the room, stating that if we go to the reception by 12 p.m., we'll get a nicer room. So, for three nights and such a routine, we could have done without it; our expectations were pretty low. It's a real shame that we had to go through such an experience.
