Timhotel Montmartre

Very good location near the centre activity of Montmartre

The closest hotel to Montmartre cathedral. Super tiny rooms but clean and well organized.

I stayed in the comfort double. Comfort is an interesting word. The room was large enough to fit the double bed and absolutely nothing else. There isn’t even another place to sit but on the bed and barely any space to simply stand. No place to put your clothes. I don’t know what 2 people would do this in room, it would be impossible. I know every says who cares how big the room is, don’t you plan to be out all day but actually, don’t you also want to relax in your hotel room in between excursions? Don’t you want to be able to unpack? Have a surface upon which to place your belongings? You cannot here. The bathroom was also tiny, which was fine, except the shower stall was maybe 2x2. I am an extremely small person and found it very difficult to use. An important note is that the hotel is in a square up numerous stairs. Which, fair enough, it’s montmartre, but they should make clear that this is definitely not the hotel for you if you have large luggage or mobility issues of any kind. The square is also LOUD. There is a bar/restaurant basically underneath your window, so it’s loud at night, but the square is also part of tourist group stops so the noise also starts at 8am. Also if you are on the first or second floor, the hotel’s blue light stays on until 1am. There is no hour of the day where this hotel room could provide you respite. The only positive is the AC works great…bc the room is tiny. I’m pretty easygoing but I see no reason to stay at this hotel unless you are getting some kind of incredible deal. It’s small and cramped, loud at all hours, and out of the way for anything except being in Montmartre. If you really want to stay in Montmartre, I’d recommend being further down the hill to save some commuting to attractions.
