I stayed at Modern Est Hotel during my trip to Paris and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a mid-range hotel with very affordable prices, especially for such a central location. The metro station is just a short walk away, which made it super convenient to get around the city. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby - you’ll never run out of options. The hotel itself is simple but clean and comfortable. It can get a little noisy at times due to the lively neighborhood, but after a long day exploring Paris, it didn’t bother me at all - I slept like a rock! Overall, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stay in a great location, Modern Est Hotel is a solid choice.

This hotel is across the street from train station Gare de L’Est and has a metro stop outside its door with 3 useful lines, many inexpensive eateries nearby & in train station. Room was very clean, bed & pillows very comfortable. I paid extra for breakfast, even with limited selection it was very enjoyable & filling - I ate slice of ham, swiss cheese, yogurt, orange juice, mini chocolate & plain crossants, hard boiled eggs, coffee machine; there was also fruit cocktail, soft cheese, and 2 cereals with milk to choose from. Only negatives were tiny shower in single room option, and no english-speaking channels on TV. Took train from CDG airport to Gare du Nord, easy 5 minute walk to Gare de L’Est & my hotel if you take Ave Magenta exit door when you leave Gare du Nord. Overall I would tend to choose this hotel again for my next visit to Paris!
