Mercure Paris Opéra Lafayette

I do not recommend this hotel (there are many other options in the area that will be cheaper and more convenient). We had a classic room, but they put us on the 6th floor (this is the last one), the small room was even smaller, because part of it was occupied by a sloping roof (part of the bed and the luggage space are located under the roof), I hit my head several times, then asked to change the room: I was offered a choice of the same neighboring one and on the first floor there was a small room, the window of which looked out onto the wall, the room looked like a storage room. I refused this option, I was offered to move to another higher class room, but I had to pay another 60 euros for each night. After this request (I don’t know if it is related or not) the cleaning lady did not leave water and tea, the next day, I put one dirty towel on the floor so that they would take it away and put a clean one, they took the dirty towel, but did not leave a clean one. The problem with water and tea was solved, the kind girl at the reception gave us water and tea. When we checked out, I was asked if I liked it, I said no, because the room was uncomfortable, the employee did not even react in any way, did not even say "sorry" or anything like that. The only pluses were a comfortable bed and pillows, that kind girl at the reception, a kettle and delicious tea in bags. The room was dusty in places (the floor and on the lamps), in the bathroom there was no toothbrush/paste, no comb, no set to sew anything, only 1 shower cap, but the cleaning lady took it, although it was not used. The hotel has only 1 elevator, it is used by both guests and staff, it is not always convenient when you live on the 4th floor. It is surprising where the Accor company is looking and why this hotel is 4 stars (it is 2 stars, no more). Usually I do not write negative reviews, but, unfortunately, this hotel left such a bad impression. I hope that management will read this and do something (for example, sell such rooms as “budget room on the top floor” with truthful photos and descriptions, so that people are not disappointed when they end up in such conditions).

Sarà anche un Mercure. La colazione buona e i locali puliti e curati. Ma - nel 2022 - vendere una stanza doppia per 210 euro al giorno con un bagno di due metri quadrati e un lavandino 15 cm x 15 (è così, la larghezza della mia mano) e sentirsi dire che quello è il valore di una stanza doppia "classic" è indecente. In più, una reception "volante" fatta di ragazzi senza alcuna competenza e capacità di ascolto.

Very small room (but we expected this). There's supposedly a bar in the hotel, but they have no ice cubes, no cold soft drinks, no wine... in short, there's no bar. Breakfast was okay. Very noisy due to street noise (poorly insulated rooms). Very warm rooms. No air conditioning!

Je suis extrêmement déçu par mon séjour dans cet hôtel. Si la chambre était plus ou moins correcte, la salle de bain, en revanche, était tout simplement inacceptable. Elle était ridiculement petite : impossible de bouger sans se cogner contre le lavabo, la toilette ou la paroi de douche. L'espace entre les équipements était si réduit qu'on se sentait étouffé en permanence. Pour un établissement qui se veut confortable, c'est vraiment inadmissible. Cela a clairement gâché mon séjour, et je ne recommande pas cet hôtel à ceux qui recherchent un minimum de confort. De plus, l'insonorisation des chambres est épouvantables pour ce type d'établissement... Le couple de la chambre voisine a bien profité de là literie en tout cas mais j'aurais préféré ne pas le savoir. Enfin, c'est la première fois que je vois un hôtel 4* sans réceptions... L'accueil s'effectue par une porte de service du restaurant et le réceptionniste travail sur une table entre les clients qui mangent. Note positive, le personnel est sympathique.
