Hotel Aboukir

Horrible. Terrible place. It CAN'T be advertised as a hotel. It's less than hostel quality. As soon as you arrive you realize it's in a sketchy area, gangs of homeless gathering at the entrance of the place. While inside, you could hear someone coughing their life out, non stop. It was super gross. The stairs were almost breaking with every step. I had to wait for the receptionist to arrive, and he was just yelling at the cleaning lady upstairs to see if the room was ready. The entrance was horrible, no lobby area just a whole on the wall for reception. The "private" room was awful. The "shower" was tiny uncomfortable and not well placed. Amenities? Terrible soap that leaves your hands dried than what they came. No place to set luggage, hard bed, hard pillows. Curtains almost see through. You could hear the noise from the street. No ventilation except opening the window. This place offers less than hostel quality, And they charge close to a 4* hotel in the area. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here, even if you have limited budget, search for another place.

This place is a dump and dangerous This place is a sh*t hole. Don't waste your money. There is NO toilet or shower in the bathroom. It is a bedsit/hostel that is advertising as a hotel. No food. No water. Nightclub downstairs you can hear through the walls. It is in a dangerous area where my daughter got robbed and jumped by adult men. One had one eye. Also, there is a leak from the ceiling and all of the clothes were wet and damp and ruined. Disgusting.
