To be up front from the start my bone of contention is more with TUI who I booked with rather than the resort, as they refused to take my issues seriously. Place itself is nice, well maintained with good size studios but info on TUI website isn't accurate - it isn't 600m from the town but at least a 15 min walk down/up a very steep road with no path (though they do have a courtesy bus a few times a day); and whilst there is a place to get breakfast and lunch would describe more as a snack bar / bar than restaurant; and stops serving food at 2pm. I paid a bit more than I could have to stay somewhere close to town where was option to have dinner on site if back late from an outing; wasted my money - when you book knowing facts are correct would be a good start; that's why I'm sharing this info so others aren't mislead and if book here know the facts. Need to improve customer service too; my flight was delayed and the place was closed up when the coach left me there around midnight; only by chance did someone come by who helped me to contact the owner - who said they weren't expecting anyone but then found my booking - I was lucky not to spend the night on a sun lounger. TUI only offered £30 compensation; an insult

We stayed in a deluxe apartment, which whilst it had plenty space it was not on the level of deluxe. I’d say they should be advertised as ‘larger rooms’ instead of deluxe. The bed was comfortable but shifted and squeaked each time you moved. Don’t expect to cook much as the cooking equipment consisted of a frying pan and a large 10 litre pot. Our terrace was a great haven, large and wonderful views. The pool was a good size although all the loungers are screwed in to the ground meaning you can’t move them around to get in or out of the shade. The staff are wonderful, but the owners came across as quite hostile as they would wander around you without even saying hello or smiling. I enjoyed breakfast every day, but lunch and ‘dinner’ was a sad affair with a very limited snack menu available. Parga is beautiful and I’d love to return, but to different accommodation

What a wonderful place to stay, the staff are friendly and couldn't do enough to help, we stayed in a studio with the wonderful view, the room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable, yes the shower is hand held (I think to save water and that you don't spend ages in the shower!!), we paid for the air con which was a god send at night. The safe was free of charge and the key was attached to your room key. We enjoyed the breakfast (if you want an English breakfast then stay in England), the continental breakfast was to our satisfaction. The pool and pool area were spotlessly clean, ok the sunbeds were a little water stained but you always put a towel down anyway and you're by a pool. Nobody reserved a sun bed while we were there, no matter what time of day you went to the pool there was always a sun bed. We had a couple of meals from the pool bar and they were ok, limited menu but it's a pool snack bar!! but what was served was lovely and big portions (the Greek salad is enough for two!!). The shuttle service was a brilliant (ok, limited times but they don't have to provide this service and it's free), if there was too many people waiting then they would come back and go again. We walked a few times into town and I would recommend that you walk towards the beach and castle rather than the main road way, the taxi back is 6 euros. We were charged 1.50 euros a night for the tourist tax.

This is a lovely hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. The balconies are fantastic and all have a superb view. The reception, bar and shuttle bus staff (sorry forgot their names!) were all friendly and helpful. The shuttle bus was extremely useful when we couldn’t face the walk in the heat! The walk from Parga town wouldn’t be too bad if the weather was a bit cooler. It is a lovely walk from the hotel down to the castle and town. The pool was lovely and it was such a nice relief to not have people reserving sun beds at the crack of dawn and there were always ones to choose from. We had some food and drinks here, which were all nice, especially their smoothies. A great value hotel and highly recommend it.

A little late on this review as we came in July. We arrived with Tui and the lovely man on Reception took us to our studio which is what we had paid for. However, he said in a couple of days another room with a view would be available - we were very grateful for this upgrade and when moved to our new room we loved the balcony and extra space of the apartment. The apartment also had a shower which we preferred, whereas the studio had a bath. The bath is fairly slim so care is needed when you are in it. The staff at the hotel were very kind, especially Fotis on the bar who helped us with decision making on restaurant choices :-) he has a great sense of humour, Thomas the shuttle bus driver , Anastasis (hope not spelt wrong) on reception, and not forgetting our lovely cleaner. Overall we had great time at this hotel. The hotel is on Valtos side and at the top of the hill. It was very HOT so thank goodness we had the shuttle bus for the first few days. We also hired a car for three days and then we hired a moped for the last 4 days which was a godsend! Alea is a lovely hotel typically Greek 3* basic but clean rooms, with friendly helpful staff. Our cleaners did a great job and changed towels and bedding every couple of days. it was the comfiest bed ever - think the mattress has a cosy topper on! Thank you Team Alea we miss you from Raheel & Toulla x

This is a gem of a hotel! Beautifully situated on a hillside with views of Voltas bay. The pool is lovely, warm and clean. There is a bar for drinks and great food. Our room 106 had a great view and was kept clean each day. The staff were very friendly and worked hard to make the hotel so lovely. It was a little walk to the centre of Parga but a regular free hotel shuttle bus gave you the choice to walk or not if it was hot. We loved our stay at this hotel!

There are Better choices in area. The Alea is an average hotel in an isolated position, the rooms are very basic but clean and cleaned daily by lovely cleaners. Most but not all rooms have exceptional views The pool area is probably the biggest in area. Air con and tourist tax is extra charge. Air con wise the hotel charge per unit not per room a lot of apartment’s have two units so it’s double the price. Hotel offers an extremely basic breakfast not worth the extra money but the nearest small mini market is a 15 minute walk away so in real terms it makes this poor offering essential. Hotel pool bar/ restaurant needs a complete rethink prices are inflated, extremely limited menu and no food was available at all on some days, also the pool bar card machine never seemed to be working. There is a fab guy that drives shuttle minivan service. But owners should invest in a bigger bus to meet demand. I would return to parga but choose a different hotel.

This was our second visit to Alea and I still Liked it a lot and would go again. Yes the rooms are in need of a renovation. The Aircon is poor and we had to request a fan as the air on didn’t even get to our room and without it would’ve been a nightmare but the chap in reception was great and very helpful. Owners seemed to have taken a back seat this year which is fine by me as she was quite moody all the time anyway. The children pool was out of order with no view on safety and when a guest crashed his moped at the gates the only person interested other than the guest was the guy in reception. The owner just sat at the bar drinking while the guests dealt with it. Not a good look and I get the feeling that they should sell to someone who really wants the place to run properly. The cleaners were great and I see people moaning about the shuttle bus but plan your day better or enjoy the walk. Thomas is still a legend and seems to do everything here including the pool! Bar staff were nice but not as attentive as last year. A little bit of TLC around the place and this could still be an amazing place to stay. Don’t bother with the trip to the Lake, waste of money. Please Alea read SOME not all of the feedback on here as I do think with some focus this could be great. Oh and the menu needs an uplift it was worse than last year for choices but what was there was decent.

Labeled as 4 stars on some places but far from it. Outdated and in need of repairs everywere. No snacks in the bar. Only drinks starting at 7 euro. Small menu. Shuttlebus that had 4 trips to Parga and 3 to the closest besch each day. That was not enough. Very hard to get hold of taxis and ealking in 36+ is difficult even though it is only 20min walk to the beach. Pool was slimy but after some time they cleaned it. Staff was extremly nice. I did however hear from another family that they owner abused his wife loudly and that is was a horrible experience. The breakfast we paid alot for was a joke. Feta, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, tomatoes and melon. Some beans and only white toast bread. The smallest breakfast Ive seen in my life. We will not come back to this hotel. You have to pay extra for pool towels 3 euro and for the AC 8euro per day per AC.
