What a wonderful and charming place to stay with everything within walking distance like sightseeing places, boat tours, cafes and restaurants

Great place - friendly host
Lovely place with nice furniture and beautiful main room. Breakfast was truly excellent ---including local cheese, coffee and jams--- and the host was very helpful. It is right in the Centro Histórico of Paraty, close to where the boats leave from. Many restaurants close by.

Book this place, look no further.
Splendid experience, more of a home stay than a hotel, the house only hosts 3 rooms.
We felt immediately at home, the staff are your lifelong friends the moment you step in.

Amazing place to stay, very charming and lovely people to greet you at arrival, and make sure you have a great time. The breakfast was simply delicious, and our room had all the commodities. We just stayed for a few nights, but Patricia made sure we spent the best time in Paraty. Looking forward to staying there again!

Place with a heart in the heart of Paraty
Patricia (who speaks impeccable English) is a longtime resident of the area with many connections who is able to give recommendations for dinner or boating or history walks. She also serves a variety of very local fruits, coffee, butter, cachaça, etc. truly hospitable and highly recommended for a personal experience

Absolutely beautiful guesthouse
A Casa de Paulo Autran is a magical guesthouse in the heart of Paraty. The house is beautiful and comfortable, with everything you need and more. The best part wasn’t the incredible breakfast or tasting some local cachaça at night, but our host Patricia who shared her knowledge and love for this town. She arranged everything for us, all transportation, a private boat trip and a wonderful visit to Fazenda Bananal. She was absolutely wonderful and we hope to be back someday soon.

We had an excellent stay just after Christmas. The location is just off the main commercial walking area - so many great restaurants right nearby - the whole street came alive at night with shops and food. We had the two-room set-up with a little outdoor sitting area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The whole house is very nice - looks even better in-person than it does in the photos. The space was very welcoming and even with a prime location - very quiet. Patricia was a gracious host - greeting us and walking through the space. Breakfast was incredible - lots of local (e.g., fruit, coffee, jam) and homemade treats (e.g., bread, cream cheese) for a delightful breakfast spread; loved the attention paid on offering unique foods from Paraty - very special - it made morning a cultural experience. Highly recommend.
