Globales Panamá

We go abroad about 4 times and year and stay in 4 star hotels but unfortunately this hotel was definitely not a 4 star!!! The hotel reception area was very clean, but when you come to the pool area it was a disappointment, sun beds packed like sardines, dirty tables and cigarette butts all over the floor even in the grids beside the pool, even in the evening the same tables still had the dirty cups from the day time!! We were in room 611, the walls are very thin we could hear the conversation from the next room! The stench from the bathroom was horrendous like sewerage, I did go down to reception and complain the first 3 mornings but nothing was done about and not even an apology from the staff who I thought was very rude! The beds were comfy, but after the 4th night I had to go again and ask reception if we could have clean sheets as they hadn’t been changed since our arrival! The food in the restaurant was average, but only Luke warm so thank goodness they had microwaves!!! You couldn’t fault the breakfast but as far a lunch and evening meal there wasn’t much choice! They definitely need more staff in the restaurant ,for every meal we ate in the restaurant not once did we have our plates cleared from the table which again is very poor for a 4 star hotel, we watched so many people taking their own dirty plates to the stations where there was a trolley to put them! They did hire towels out at a cost of €10 refundable on return however if you wanted a fresh towel it was €1 each time! As for the staff I didn’t find them very welcoming and friendly at all the only one which I could say was is the entertainment lady who worked extremely hard. My only positive comment about this hotel is the location Overall unfortunately I would not return to this hotel, in fact it’s put me off staying in any of the Globales hotels again after speaking to others who were staying in different hotels in the resort!!

Location - very good, next to plenty of good restaurants, right next to the beach and all of the shops. 4/5. Food - Hotel food was atrocious. Was on all inclusive. Started to eat out on day 2. Even the breakfast was underwhelming. Bacon was abysmal. Pizza was probably the worst I've had in my life, way worse than even supermarket pizza and undercooked. Never that warm and not much choice. Should have just gone for the drinks only option. 1/5. Drinks - cocktails were pretty poor overall. But soda and coffee was self service which was pretty good 3/5. Rooms - nice enough room, good enough space, tv with a few uk channels. Walls were paper thin though and could hear the couples arguments then noisy groups every night. 3/5. Entertainment - not great, quiz was OK but didn't seem to be much going on overall. Bingo most nights though. In one week it was twice karaoke, one was just play some music and dance and one was a football match. During the day there were activities but they seemed to tail off after 12:30. 1.5 /5. Other notes - was going to be 30 euros just for the room for late check in till 4, given the hotel seemed empty it seemed very much on the penny pinching side. Though we shouldn't have had to resort to eating out twice a day for most of the time because of the terrible food, there were plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity, within around 10 mins walk, with O'Neills being 2 mins away, Iroko 8 mins etc. And bus to Palma was very close by, maybe a 4 minute walk. And a good sized supermarket only 2 minutes away. Overall score - 3 / 5.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Globales Panamá all I can say is this hotel is definitely not 4 star and avoid booking this hotel The food was either none existent or cold, the salad and fruit when available looked old looked like it had been sat there for days. One of the female chefs was down right RUDE and made you feel very uncomfortable if only her name was on her badge as I’m sure Globales you know who she is Reception staff were polite and helpful and the staff who cleared the plates were also polite such a shame they were let down by the senior staff. Our first impression everything looked ok but how wrong Rooms very tired and you could hear the people next door
