The hotel's redeeming features are the variety of food, the beach, the activities they schedule, and the good service, except for the reception supervisor who was awful. The negative side is that the hotel is not big, unlike other Rius hotels. When it comes to check-out, they make sure you leave the facilities before 7:00 p.m., and unlike other resorts where I stayed on my name day, I don't receive any details except for a letter telling me to leave the room at the appropriate time. This is definitely not recommended, as there is no relationship between the price you pay and the service you receive.

My husband and I first visited RIU Aruba Antilles in September 2024 to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and we loved it so much that we returned this July 2025 for our family vacation with 8 of us! From check-in to check-out, everything was fantastic. Davison at check-in was excellent—friendly, accommodating, and he even remembered us from our anniversary trip! That personal touch really set the tone for our stay. Our housekeeper, Laveau Ketia, kept our rooms spotless all week. She was kind, professional, and consistently went above and beyond. We truly appreciated her hard work. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening shows. Brenda made us specialty drinks in the lobby every evening—always with a smile and always perfectly mixed! One night, Vivian surprised us with her own specialty drinks, from honeydew margaritas to Manhattans—each one unique and delicious. My husband and I are already planning to return again this September for our 31st anniversary. Thank you to everyone at RIU for helping us make more unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

My daughter booked an oceanfront suite and was put in a different room upon arrival (partial ocean view). They said there were no rooms available (even though she booked over a year prior!). They had done renovations and the room she initially booked was now part of the "Elite Club". Riu would not refund the difference (gave her a slight adjustment based on the lowest price - not the price she paid). Ended up moving to the correct room after 4 nights and gave a box of chocolate and a little bag of Aruba Aloe toiletries as "compensation". Other than that - breakfast was good, rest of the meals were just ok. Drinks were bad (unless you specified the alcohol brand you wanted). Couldn't get a palapa any time after 7am. And a few dinners, unless you arrived as it opened, you wouldn't be able to get a seat. Disappointing after spending a lot of money - would not recommend!

Riu Antillas is a great hotel! The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of items; the lunch buffet was also impressive, though the mahi mahi and tuna tended to be over-salted; dinner was great also. The filet mignon at the steakhouse was probably the best I ever had and the themed-buffet nights again were shockingly good! The pools were relaxing and well-manned; the beach is literally just a step away. The room was nice; the only complaint were the hallways, which had outdated carpeting and some chipped paint on the wall. The staff were just superbly friendly and accommodating!

Place was beautiful and well maintained. Pool for swim up bar could have used more extensive maintenance though. Water was quite cloudy. Food was very good. Staff very friendly. Island itself is very safe, no worries leaving resort, taking bus, taking a taxi, shopping, etc.

Outstanding honeymoon from beginning to end. The staff was top notch. The grounds were beautiful. The food was spectacular. The beaches were beautiful and the pool bar was the place to be. Will definitely be back!
