The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba

We just returned from 5 nights at the Ritz Carlton Aruba. It was a fantastic trip. Service-service was fabulous. Staff are all helpful, plentiful, kind, and fun to talk to. Staff in the club lounge are very helpful and have impeccable memories for remembering guests and what they like! Pool side service is great—fast and friendly and you can always find a server when needed. Service on the beach was noticeably slower. We had to ask for everything (including a server to even visit us) at least twice. Rooms-as the reviews mention, they’re not brand new or top of the line. But they are very clean and comfortable and have everything we needed for our stay. Chairs-we stayed club level, which allows you to reserve chairs ahead of time, so we had no trouble with getting seats. When we stayed (July) it did not seem overly difficult to get a pool chair. It took a bit of searching for us to get a beach chair when we didn’t reserve one, but the beach staff were great at finding is a spot that worked for us. Spa-we love spas! I would say the spa at this property could use some work. The locker rooms were small, the relaxation lounge was not very luxurious, and they never even brought my husband to the co-ed lounge to wait with me (he said they didn’t ask if he was with anyone and just took him to the men’s lounge) Aruba is beautiful and this spa would benefit greatly from some outdoor space or even windows to view the beautiful scenery. My facial with Wendy was great. I felt very relaxed and pampered. We liked the location of the Ritz because we could walk to several places. A lot of the popular restaurants are a reasonably priced cab ride away. It is easy to get a cab from the Ritz, and the restaurants we visited were all happy to call us a taxi back to the resort. The beach is beautiful. The property is laid out nicely and well maintained. They have music each evening during sunset you can enjoy from the terrace (beautiful) or just relaxing on your own balcony. This was our first visit to Aruba and we felt welcome with open arms. We are thinking about coming back before the end of the year!

Loved the hotel. Clean, comfortable, great staff and attentive customer service. Especially loved the onsite restaurant BLT and the bus bar. Was so wonderful not needing to wake up super early to reserve chairs as we do at other resorts… there were always beach chairs and shade available- for me worth the extra cost of staying at the ritz.

José at the VW cocktail bus is absolutely phenomenal. His creative drinks blew us away—so much that we came back for round two! Friendly service, top-notch mixology, and incredible island vibes. Highly recommended! TripAdvisor makes you do 200 characters so I’m just talking here.

JOSEeeee Best Mixologist on the Island!! Best drinks made by Jose at his Pop up Bar W Van , I highly recomend the Hibiscus Margarita and the Tamarind spicy with Mezcal, 10/10!! He's a master on what his doing!!! Go and try his drinks! Beatiful Property and beach, great service by Madero Staff!

Excellent- even during a power outage! The morning I checked in my room was not ready, and then the island lost power which caused a delay. I made the best of it. While I wanted to check in early, they still got me in the room about an hour and a half after the true check in time. There was water, no AC yet, but all was restored within the hour. There are circumstances outside of the hotels control . I felt like everyone was doing the best that they could. I appreciated the personal call from the hotel manager. This was the second time staying in this hotel, and I absolutely loved it . The service is top-notch and the hotel is beautiful. Love eating at Casa Nonna too! Thank you, Ritz Aruba for a wonderful vacation !
