Rocco Forte Villa Igiea

My wife and I had the most wonderful 6 night stay at Villa Igiea. 1. Hotel - Very stylish decor befitting of a 5 star hotel. Location is beautiful but a little far from the centre of Palermo. Lucky, like everything, Villa Igiea have already sorted this problem with readily available shuttles too and from town. 2. Room - We stayed in 301 which was a sea view deluxe room. I would recommend requesting this room as it’s the only deluxe sea view with a double front aspect. Facilities in the room were top notch as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. 3. Bars & Restaurants - Food is very high quality at all the restaurants. The breakfast is excellent. The Terrazza Bar does excellent cocktails and is ideal for a sunset aperitif. Florio has great food and is significantly better than most of what Palermo has to offer. Allicetta has great seafood and has a great grill evening on a Monday called focu. 4. Staff - World class staff from housekeeping to the concierge team who all did their utmost to make our stay flawless. 5. Key Tips - book your shuttles to and from town each morning, they get full at peak times. - try the zucchini and mint omelette at breakfast. - try the sharab and Donna Franca cocktails at terrazza Bar. - take a RIB from the local harbour and explore mondello Bay & Capo Gallo. - have the fresh prawn linguine at Alicetta restaurant. 6. Thank Yous - Francesco & Alicia on the concierge team were brilliant at offering recommendations and solutions! - Luca great at the pool!

Just returned from a wonderful week's stay at this amazing hotel. The hotel is stunning with an incredible view and the rooms are very, very comfortable. From arrival to departure the entire hotel team have only one aim, to ensure that their guests receive the best possible service and always with a smile. Their pride in the job, training, professionalism and service is outstanding. Warm welcome and goodbye from the door staff, super efficient and helpful check in and check out. Nothing is too much trouble and no sooner said than done. Special mention to the concierge desk especially Philip and Anastasia who were amazing at what they do. The pool service was the best we have experienced and they all work so hard to make sure you have everything needed. Special mention to Massimo, Vincenzo, Antonio and Francesco in Florio outstanding welcome, top notch service and always the best table. Thank you for the birthday cake too Vincenzo. Thanks also to Giovanni, Lucca and Mario in the bar. Excellent service and spectacular view. The shuttle was a great service we used daiky and thanks also to the housekeeping who make your stay so comfortable. We have been lucky to have stayed at 5 other RF hotels which were all very special and Villa Agiea is by far the best and it is the staff who make all the difference. Can't wait to return.

Villa Igeia is an absolutely magical place to escape the hustling downtown of Palermo. We stayed for two nights and I wish we had more time. The staff and service was impeccable, dinner at restaurant Florio is worthy of a Michelin star. The concierge team, especially Irene went above and beyond to assist us with planning prior to arrival. I highly recommend this property.

Villa igiea is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in the rooms are spectacular the whole hotel is spectacular the location the privacy the security unbelievable I would like to stay here for a lufetime

Absolutely fantastic stay - loved the property, the staff, the breakfast - an oasis of calm in Palermo

We stayed at this Palermo property for two nights at the end of our trip to Sicily. This historical property is very beautiful, with elegant touches around every corner. Our suite was very well appointed to the level one would expect of a property of this calibre. We have become big fans of Rocco Forte properties and this property well meets the standard. Service was thoughtful, refined, personal and on point. The staff is well trained. Expectations at this price point are high, and they were met. The property is not located in the historical old town. It is located near the port. Traffic is a bit nuts in Palermo but it is not too long a ride between downtown / old town Palermo and Villa Igiea. The traffic is a part of experiencing Palermo. The property is very lovely inside and outside. The pool area is not very big and the sea view includes the industrial port, but we did not come to this property to sit at the pool. Villa Igiea is rich in history and is a very elegant choice for exploring Palermo. Food was excellent. Service at the restaurants was exceptional throughout.
