Wow! This place is magical. If you can believe it, it's better in real life. The guesthouse is in a remote area and they provide everything you need to rest, relax, enjoy nature, have fun and see the land. Rooms were perfect. We were a group of 5 and had 3 rooms. Each were different and lovely. Comfortable beds, sitting area and small coffee station in larger room. Everything feels very private. Views to (almost) die for. Nice bathrooms. No TVs (yay!). All guests enjoy buffet breakfast and dinner in the main eating area (not included in the room rate but worth it) which is nicely appointed, casual and great for having family time or to meet other guests. We sat with another group one night and it was very fun. Food is delicious. All locally sourced and well made - great taste. There is a wonderful bar area perfect for drinking, card playing, talking, singing, playing twister, whatever. The owner, Johan, is a very special and welcoming person. Very involved in the community, informative of the area including all things nature, wildlife, country. I can honestly say that he made our trip. He guided us on our snowmobiling excursion and made us lunch over an open fire in the snow and it was truly magical. Please note that it is possible (and I recommend it) to rent proper clothing for winter excursions Johan has everything (and I mean everything) you need - boots, jackets, pants, hats, gloves and more. His equipment seems to be top notch and worth the extra spend to have a truly enjoyable time. Highly recommend this wonderful place. You won't be disappointed.
