Stayed for 4 nights over the Bank Holiday weekend. Channel View is in a perfect location with lots to do nearby. Lovely room with great view (Room 5) Everything was high quality & tastefully decorated. Comfy beds & tea/coffee facilities what more could you ask for. Highly recommend.

Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft aufgrund folgender Aspekte: Sehr nette, angenehme, freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Erstaunlich geräumiges Zimmer (Nr. 2, mit „Gartenblick“ – bedeutet: auf einen großen Sommerflieder). Großer Schrank. Große Kommode. Sehr gute Rainshower-Dusche. Spiegelschränkchen im Bad mit zwei Türen. Licht und Entlüftung im Bad mit Bewegungsmelderfunktion. Gutes WLAN. Großer Flachbildfernseher. Steckdosen mit je zwei USB-Anschlüssen. Sehr gute Fenster. Tee, Kaffee, Wasserkocher und Milch im Zimmer. Hervorragendes Frühstück und Abendessen. Großartiger Blick von der Terrasse auf die Torbay. Lage direkt am Meer. Parkplatz unmittelbar vor dem Hotel. Nicht so gut gefallen hat uns: 1. Das Bett knarzt. Beim Umdrehen gewöhnt man sich daran. Bei rhythmischen Bewegungen stört es ;) 2. „Gartenblick“ bedeutet auch: Blick auf die unmittelbar angrenzende Bahnlinie. Bei geschlossenem Fenster hört man die Züge gedämpft. Das war für uns, auch nachts, kein Problem, es schadet aber nicht, es zu wissen. 3. Im Zimmer steht ein großer Ledersessel als einzige Sitzgelegenheit. Sinnvoller wäre stattdessen ein Tisch mit Stuhl.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this fabulous hotel. Couldn't fault it. Location was ideal, within walking distance of the town, but in a quieter location. The hotle was decorated wonderfully and our room was clean, with a comfortable bed. Though, not the biggest of rooms, it was perfectly adequate and had fantastic views of the bay. Breakfast was perfect for us as my husband loved the full English and I much prefer a continental. Home made yogurt with berry compot and a different smoothie each day was delicious. Peter was the perfect host and very knowledgeable. We would definitely love to return sometime definitely recommend The Channel View Hotel to friends.

A great adult only boutique hotel with superb views over Torbay . stayed in one of the suites overlooking Paignton pier.there is a railway line behind but it didn’t spoil our stay at all . The hotel has a bistro serving delicious small plate tapas which was very nice. We had 5 dishes which left us feeling full

During a long weekend for the Torbay airshow, my partner and i thoroughly enjoyed the quiet, friendly and warm atmosphere that this hotel gave us. With a Mediterranean like vista from our balcony opposite the beach, we could not have wanted for anything more from this hotel. We have already booked our next stay with them as we were checking out. The only downside was, the weekend went far too quickly.

We recently stayed in this Hotel and really enjoyed our break. The Hotel is in a fantastic position with a view from our room looking over the sea. The Hotel is very clean and smart looking and you are also able to park in front of the Hotel. The Breakfast was excellent and very enjoyable. The reason it’s not a 5 star ( 4.5 really) is the small en-suite and sink. Not much room in the en-suite but the room was fine. So really a 4.5.
