Marine Hotel

Value for Money: The hotel offers excellent value for money and is praised for its convenient location near the beach, town, and harbor.

Stayed for 2 nights over a weekend late in July. Proper old-school hotel right on the seafront but it's in fairly good nick throughout, having obviously been decorated not that long ago. The staff worked tirelessly and were always available and willing to help or serve, despite covering several bases at once. The food was good and perfectly acceptable considering it was all inclusive. Our room was on the top floor with two windows overlooking the lovely gardens to the side and you could just see the sea too either side of the carbuncle that is the cinema (who approved such a massive block right on a scenic seafront?!!). The room was spacious, clean and again recently decorated I reckon. Large walk-in shower worked well, though very noisy. Bed was two singles pushed together, so very big - just a shame they were slightly different heights! Still comfy though. I have to mention the entertainment, which was ... mixed, shall I say. The "comedy vocalist" on Friday night was neither comical nor vocal - just sat on a stool and played 60's music (albet it good music) from his tablet and occaisionally challenged the audience to recall the artist of a track. Easiest night's pay earned right there. On the Saturday night, the female vocalist was both very capable of singing and engaged with the audience, so much better. Overall, very pleased so felt I should write a review. Would stay again (just need to remember to go out Friday night!)

My wife and I , booked for a week ( 21st - 28th June ) . We've been before with a coach party , but this time we thought we'd go by our selves . This is still one of the best hotels , we've stayed in . The staff , very friendly ,can't do enough for you . The food tasty , different choice every night . Our room , very comfortable and serviced very well . We enjoyed it that much , we're thinking on doing again next year .
