A wonderful stay in a fantastic hotel on an ostrich farm. The General Manager was amazing - extremely friendly and professional. Our room was a good size, clean and very comfortable. We loved the ostriches - they are curious and lovely birds.

Berluda is an ideal combination of a working Ostrich Farm and a pleasant accommodation. Lovely setting out of town, ostriches everywhere and ostrich scrambled eggs for breakfast, very informative guided tour of the farm, including Meerkats, spacious cottages, very friendly service, perfect place to experience Oudtshoorn.

Waanzinnig mooi resort op een locatie met prachtige vergezichten. De aanwezigheid van de vele struisvogels is natuurlijk ook uniek. Het resort ziet er heel erg verzorgd uit en het personeel is ook geweldig. Deze kwaliteit inclusief de geweldige verblijven, inclusief de aangeboden maaltijden is niet of nauwelijks te evenaren.

The Schoeman family has owned the land between Oudtshoorn & Cango Caves for 8 or 9 generations! Owner Piet is now the largest ostrich farmer in South Africa - with up to 25,000 own ostriches. His German-speaking wife Laura has lovingly renovated the Berluda Farmhouse & Mountain Manor in country house style - an oasis of peace. Mountain Manor plus the pool was wonderful! Here, work is far away. Especially recommended for families: the ostrich tour - very interesting! And 4 pools invites you to swim or cool down. For wine lovers, the Karusa winery - just 1000 meters away - has some surprisingly fine wines to offer. New: Berluda is offering dinner every night! Liked it! In short: Two days at Berluda are a must, longer is of course always possible.

Beautifull farm and the friendliest staff I have ever encountered!! A must stay!! From the views to the room to the restaurant to the pool! Loved every minute of our stay. Stayed with my son and he can’t wait to come stay again. Very peaceful!!

Wonderfull place with a nice farm and Meercat Tour. Everything just a 10. The staff is really nice and helps you witrh everything. The cottage are really comfortable and clean.

I would rate perhaps a 3.5 It's actually a really nice place, just a little tired and dated furniture. Staff were lovely though. And very accomodating when we asked to have another room. Didn't eat at the in house restaurant so can't rate the food but the ambience was great for the little eating area and fire place
