The living room and kitchen are large, with kitchenware and tableware, which is very convenient if you want to cook. There are two Chinese lunch boxes at the Redeau Shopping Center's dining hall food court next to it, suitable for Chinese stomachs. The view outside the window is also good. It takes more than half an hour to walk to the Governor's Mansion, a quarter of an hour to Capitol Hill, not far from various attractions, and there is a loblaws supermarket next to it for 5 minutes. Great hotel. I stayed here with my wife. We really liked the bed. Was very spacious. Room was clean and modern. Really nice blow dryer for my hair and nice modern iron. Television channels were a bit fuzzy. The hotel is sustainable so they don’t give bottled water. They recommend tap water. But I went to the gym for water. Washroom is clean. I like how there’s a nespresso machine in every room. The room can be a bit dark too. Not very much light.

I had a great stay at Courtyard Ottawa Downtown by Marriott. I arrived a bit late but check in was still superfast. The staff were very courteous and kind. The hotel was clean and love the fragrance smell on the hallway. The room was really big, clean and beds/pillow were soft and comfortable. I can definitely say that their service was excellent. I would stay here again.

The biggest advantage is the excellent location. But if you book a prepaid room, you will most likely be charged twice. The bathroom is very narrow, and the blow dryer is hung behind the door. There were staff chatting in the corridor early in the morning, disturbing people's sleep. The valet parking service is 60 Canadian dollars per day, which is a bit expensive. The so-called first hotel brand in Canada is just the level of Hilton in China.

This is the most comfortable, cleanest, most cost-effective and most comfortable hotel I have lived in Canada for 7 years. Moderate scale, quiet but not remote, it is also a hotel with full parking lot whether it is usually or on weekends. This shows that its occupancy rate is extremely high. I feel that most business people are staying. They are very friendly to pets. There will be many small animals playing downstairs in the evening. I like it very much and recommend it to move across provinces. Parent-child travel, long-term residence of families with pets.

The Ottawa Marriott Hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the Parliament Building. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. During the two days I stayed there, I walked to various attractions. It was very convenient! The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, with coffee makers; there is a Starbucks in the hotel lobby, and there is a public microwave in the lobby; there is a parking lot in the basement; the high-rise rooms can see the Parliament Building, and the 28th floor of the hotel can see the Parliament Building and the surrounding landscape, which is very beautiful! Very good!

The room was clean and I liked the facility as well. The room was spacious, which is something I enjoyed. I had a problem with the service though, which I eventually had to call Marriott customer service, but other than that, I liked it.
I was able to walk to the Parliament.
If you are looking for a spacious room, this might be a good choice.

Great hotel; rooms were clean and reasonably spacious, and the amenities were very nice. Hotel gym was small but well-appointed. Restaurant is large and had a great view; food was adequate, nothing special, and pretty expensive for what it was.

AAlicia York-BirdMuch happier with my stay here this time around! Decided to give it one more try to see if it had improved, and it really had. Enjoyed the weekend at this location; used the fitness room (a first for me), and was pleased with the breakfast offerings.
The room itself was lovely and large, the bed was comfortable and the bed linens were clean and soft.
The bathroom was merely ok; the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor a bit which made things slippery, but we managed.
Was happy for the minifridge and the TV was fine quality; I enjoyed being able to sign into my streaming service accounts and watch movies.
As long as the price stays reasonable, I'm sure I'll be back, as it's very convenient to many places in Kanata.

GGuest UserFrom the geographical location, it is similar to several other hotels around. It is very close to Capitol Hill. It is no problem for the 4-year-old children to go by themselves. We originally planned to watch the light show, but the baby was not so late. If you don't watch the light show, it is best to live near the market, convenient to eat and drink. Spit the so-called garden view room, through a window of ordinary size, you can see two walls on the left and right (somewhat like a patio), and a narrow street in the distance. I feel that the garden view room is useless. Finally, spit and stop, the hotel does not have self parking, can only give the keys to their people, let them stop. The keys are always in their hands, they want to use the car or take things from the car through them (you can call or go to the lobby to find them, about 10-15 minutes to get the car, depending on how busy they are). Of course, this kind of ”high-end service” is to pay the money (30 knives)... After the spit is finished, the parking service varies from person to person, I don't like it. I wish you a happy trip!

AAlex DouvilleWe had 2 fire alarms in 2 days, nobody told us when we’ve made the reservation. Fiest time ppl we’re afraid , we had to go outside… NO STAFF explain nothing to us for too much time. I asked at the front desk and the woman there just ignore me. The other woman that was there didnt either explain I had to asked what’s going on is it a practice or not ? Ppl were actually afraid… She told yeah in the most nonchalant way. Also when we arrived, there was still hair and stuff in the bathroom that I had to remove. Ive check in early I must say but they told it was ok that the room was ready. Clearly it was not 100% clean. Breakfast is very VERY basic. I had to told front desk that coffee was empty… Plus, the first guy that welcome me at the front desk was not sympathetic. If you have the budget to go elsewhere just do it.

GGuest UserWe stayed one night right in the heart of the Byword Market in Ottawa and really loved it. My only complaint is the cost of parking- $35/night. A little steep. But it seems parking in Ottawa is costly. Other than that, I really enjoyed how great the room was. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

AAlicia York-BirdI loved this hotel! A little off the beaten path, but worth it due to good pricing and proximity to Tanger Outlets and the highway.
I've visited twice now and will be sure to book again when needed.
Pros: Rooms are a very decent size, and the hotel just opened recently as of this review, so everything is gleaming clean and new.
The beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are lovely.
Cons: The TV could be a little larger, and I'm sad that despite marketing materials to the contrary, we weren't able to connect the TV through my YouTube account as I have been able to do at other hotels, but it was a small disappointment compared to the pros.
My largest concern is how quickly the right-hand elevator door closes without warning; it bashed me a good one as I was walking in , and while I can take it.and brush that off, had that been a small child they could have been seriously hurt. Please get that checked out.
In summary, I will recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, quiet, recently priced place to stay while visiting Kanata 😁

AAlicia York-BirdI expected more from Glö than I received. I chose Glö as a ”treat” for a couple's getaway, as it was a newer hotel and appeared like it would be snazzier than the usual fare.
Pros: The bathroom was very nice, and the complimentary toiletries are top notch. The rooms are very clean. The mattress was very comfortable and the TV was a decent size.
Cons: The rooms are incredibly small, and while they are nicely furnished, the tiny ”couch” seat was more form than function (i.e. prettier than it was comfortable). The front desk staff seemed very new and clueless on basic hospitality essentials, like how to work the in-room television. It also took ages for a response from front desk on how to work the TV and the issue wasn't even resolved.
I probably will not stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone I know, as there are so many hotels to choose from in Kanata that offer better, more knowledgeable service and better pricing.

GGuest UserThe hotel and service were great. The check-in receptionist was very friendly, helpful and efficient. I also had an opportunity to meet a couple of the cleaning/service staff in the hall and they were so friendly and nice. These two young guys had a great attitude. It couldn't help but brighten your day. Our room was very clean and modern. Nice furniture and bedding. All in all this was a great pick for our mini vacation in Ottawa.

OOceanMountain65Conveniently located right next to bus stop that will take you to main attractions in the city, luggage drop off before and after check in and check out allowed which makes trip planning much easier. However, breakfast is just a muffin, a small yogurt and a small pack of juice in a takeaway bag which is very disappointing.
