Amazing
GGuest UserNote that the time is up, you need to communicate with the hotel in advance, otherwise it is easy to eat closed doors. In addition, the hotel is very satisfied, clean and the room is very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious
TTzuu YihLocation of the hotel is very convenient. It is 5-10 min walk from JR Otsu station which is only 2 stop away from JR Kyoto which costs about 200 yen. The room is clean and quiet but it is a bit tight for 2 mid size luggages (to open simultaneously) but still manageable. Hotel comes with full Japanese breakfast and has coin operated laundry (200yen) and dryer (free). We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who don't mind staying out of Kyoto.
KKitVery nice. The owner is very nice and helpful. He is able to speak English. Moreover, the private Onsen room is really impressive. Hope I can go next time.
AAnhuiThe cheap price has its reasons, it is equivalent to the domestic Super 8. It is quite convenient to shop and take a bus around. One step to the countryside, one step to the bustling city, one step to the mountain, and one step to the boat. If a person is tired of the hustle and bustle of the city and wants to hide occasionally, this is still a good choice. After all, it is absolutely affordable to live here in seclusion for a month or two in Japan.
GGuest UserEverything is great. Bed linen, cleaning, cleanliness, responsiveness of the hotel administration, free toothbrushes, razors, towels, paper napkins, unlimited water. High-quality atmosphere, you can see the clock from the window. You can't hear the metro. I recommend it to everyone when they come. The only problem is the interruptions in the Wi-Fi and its speed, but overall it's fine. A solid 4. Still, communication is always needed.
AAnonymous UserThe accommodation comes with breakfast, and the breakfast is rich. The breakfast changes every day for three days, which is good. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from JR Otsu. There are some shops and supermarkets around. You can walk to Mii Temple, but it is relatively quiet and there are not many tourists. I stayed on the 14th floor. The room is small but well-equipped. I operated the machine myself. There were Chinese prompts. I chose not to clean, but I was given a new towel every day, which was hung in the bag outside the door. The wifi in the room was available in the afternoon of the first day, but it was not available at night. I went to the front desk to negotiate. The communication was a bit complicated, but it was solved smoothly. In addition, a password was given, but the wifi in the room on the 14th floor was not very stable for three days. Overall, it is still a recommended place.
GGuest UserThe facilities are old, the air conditioner is probably from the Showa era, the tatami seems to be newly installed and clean, the overall hygiene is very clean, the bathroom is also very clean, the hotel includes breakfast. It is only 2 stops from Kyoto Station by JR, but the price is less than half of Kyoto. Hotels in Kyoto are too expensive on weekends, so I am very satisfied with this place. There is a direct elevator from JR to the hotel, so you don't have to worry even if it rains, hahahaha. Go straight along the road in the picture and you will reach Lake Biwa.
KKaedeaPay attention to the double bed room, the price difference between single occupancy and double occupancy is relatively large, and others are very good.
RRoger MichaelOk. First of all leave your expectations at home expecting hotel level service. Once you've done that if you want a cheap but clean place to stay this is it. This is a seinenkan - a facility for youth and youth-related organizations to conduct independent study and recreational activities, many of which have basic accommodation facilities but higher grade facilities than youth hostels. They are located all over Japan. I stayed in a tatami mat room on a floor with shared toilet facilities. The ground floor has a large communal bath - obviously separate for male and females. They have lights out at 11 p.m. and guests must return by the same time. There is a very modern cafe onsite serving cheap breakfasts (see photos) but the cafe closes by 6 p.m. There is a convenience store 10 minutes walk away so I suggest you buy snacks and beverages en route from JR Ishiyama station. For dinner, there is a family restaurant - good value and okay food - about 6 minutes walk away.
The seinenkan is located on a small island by a historic bridge. The views of the river inlet flowing into the main Lake Biwa is relaxing, lots of bird wildlife, and lots of rowers (the seinenkan is a water sports facility too). and the sunrise and sunset views are lovely.
The staff are very kind. It cost me ¥5,500 for one night and I will stay there again if I have the opportunity.
